is it possible to use compost teas along with chem fert its a mates grow is it worth my while bringin in teas to him? he wont go organic till he uses all the chem fert.

i use perlite to get effect use about a 1/2 inch on top of the soil stops the buggers getting down to lay there eggs, only thing is u have to water from the bottom to stop mold growing on the perlite, takes a little long but i dont mind

1. you what your worm diet to have a mixture of both fruit and veg but try to avoid things like chillies onions and citrus fruit this can cause iritation to the worms skin or so i believe. coffee grounds and tea bags/leaves also work. The smaller you chop up there food the quicker it breaks...

dont no about making 30lb a month of vermicomposting, egg boxes make a great bedding material for starting of a bin. they prefare fruit to veg, avoid dairy meat oninons chillies and citrus. use a small amount of egg shells say once a month. I put mine in the oven for 10mins then cruch them fine...
