    DIY 4x12 3500K/5000k lm561c two channel board

If we're supposed to wire the channels in series for a single board, I'd recommend on the next iteration flipping the positive and negative side on on channel that way the channels line up as follows: C1 C2 + - . . . . . . . . - + For...

If you don't have anything useful to contribute, feel free to move on from this thread. Your posts are really making it hard to follow the discussion. Just popping in to mention I ordered two lights from Vegas and they came in prompt time. Once the clones have rooted, they'll got under 2 of...

    Matching Drivers and COBs

Hi all, I'm building a light for a 3x2.5 sq ft grow space, both veg and flower. I'm going with 4x citizen 1212 90cri 3500 lights driven at 1050mA and I'm just deciding on a driver, which is where I'd like input. I'm thinking that I'll wire them in parallel and use a constant voltage driver (so...

    Quantum Boards Grow

You're confusing watts as an input to your light and watts as a measure of wasted energy (heat). In both cases, you're measuring an amount of energy, but they are very different. A light that is fed 1000W of electricity emits a certain percentage of that as light and a certain percent is...

    Citizen 1212,1818 or ? for 4x4 tent?

Test report here: https://www.meanwell-web.com/en/download_datasheet.php?products_id=HLG-185-48A&type=2 Shows you can squeeze 4.2A/220W out of it. Clearly running it outside spec, not sure how I feel about that, but it's possible to say the least.

Introducing CobKits.com - specializing in DIY and Citizen COBs

Great, thank you. I have never seen these test reports before. Am I correct in assuming most people running a HLG 185 48A are wiring their COB's in parallel and using constant voltage mode (where all the typical warnings around thermal run-away and variable current apply)?

Introducing CobKits.com - specializing in DIY and Citizen COBs

Looking at the meanwell hlg 185H-48A driver on cobkits - data spec says it's rated for 3.9A/187W, but the website says "Max current: 4.25A" and lists "3 1818@ 75.3W each (226W max) " as a potential combination. Is this just an error on the product description or am I reading the data spec wrong?

    DIY with Quantum Boards

I'd getting ready to ditch my mars hydro and shift to COB/QB. Preferably, I'd like to have this done by the time I switch to flower (May 1st). Is it reasonable to expect QB's to be shipping by then? @robincnn, I know you mentioned first week of may, but is that for component arrival or...
