    It's not necessarily bad. I always put 1 extra in, just in case i run short. Then I sacrifice her for the good of the others if I run out.

    I have never had problems with tap water, but I always let it sit out at least 48 hrs in a bucket to get the chlorine out.

    They all also make self ballasted 24" t5s. much better than the 17w light in your link. each one is 24w. 2280 lumens 6400K. also have 3000K bulbs available for flowering. trust me, they are worth the money. I use them as supplementary only, but wow, what a difference over cfls.

    to repot, i cut a slit in party cup, and move whole mass also. no stress to the plant that way. i also use the same soil in party cups and pots.

    You also might want to look at T5 lighting. Same power as cfl's, not too much more expensive, and approximately 25% more lumens.

    It depends on how big your pot is, and how big your plant is. I start in 16 oz party cups, and transplant 2 weeks after sprouting. Growth will slow down noticeably once it becomes root bound.
