Until you figure it out it would probably be a good idea to keep the plants separate. If you've got some male and some female they might end up getting pollenated.

If you think something is munching on them, I read you can just give them a light wash with some warm water and soap suds and then a wash with clean purified water to get the soap off, every day man. You could spray pesticide...but you know a lot of those things that are poisonous to bugs/spider...
