    Nute Burn?

Interesting... I'll try adding a bit more nute to see what happens. So, my filtered tap water starts at 350 PPM. If I add 200 PPM of nute it will put me at 550 - will that be OK? My only concern is I have one that's really doing well and is completely green. I don't want to take it in the...

    Nute Burn?

Could it be TMV? I do smoke tobacco in the adjacent room, but they're in a tent with highly circulated air. I've seen some posts about TMV and it's got me worried.

    Nute Burn?

I've also been top-watering this one with plain PH'ed water, 6.0, thinking it may flush her out if the nutes are causing problems. Twice per day.

    Nute Burn?

I keep the PH right around 6.0. minimum of about 5.8 and max of 6.1 and change. I calibrate my meter every few days so I think that's pretty accurate. TDS is right around 450 - 350 of which is due to my hard water. Only about 100 PPM of nutes. I'm on an Ebb & Flow schedule of 15 minutes...

    Nute Burn?

She's a 3 weeks old and I started her on 15% technaflora boost + grow + the rest of the starter nutes. I'm noticing some yellowing tips, edges curling up a bit & even a few small brown spots on the edge. She's still putting out new growth though, and getting taller each day. Is this something...

Weird looking brown scales on seedling leaves

I think it was probably just a bad seed or somehow I damaged her roots. I have four sisters from the same batch that all made it so far. The one that died never dropped a taproot through the bottom of the rockwool.

Weird looking brown scales on seedling leaves

Yah... I was bummed. I kept them pretty wet. There was a small fan blowing directly on the CFL's to dissipate heat, which also indirectly hitting the plants. Surprisingly, this CFL unit I got does put off a bit of heat - pushes the ambient temp in the nursery up to 90 when all four CFL's are...

    Yellowing Leaves

The light bulb is 2 feet from the plants. It's in a cooltube with a 4 inch fan sucking air through it. The room stays in the mid 70's all day and the "canopy" is always in the low 70's. What can I do to stop it from bleaching? Will it kill them? The reason I thought it might be a nute issue...

    Yellowing Leaves

She was under T5 CFL's until three days ago. Now she's under a Digilux 400W MH.

    Yellowing Leaves

Yep. 2.5 weeks from the time I put the seed in the rockwool. So maybe closer to 2 weeks since sprouting. And yah, my plain water is close to 400 PPM from the tap. Sucks. I should invest in RO... But already bought an expensive filter... Think the guy at the shop didn't really know what he...

She died... Her sisters survived, though!

    Yellowing Leaves

I have a plant that's 2.5 weeks old and the bottom leaves are starting to yellow a bit. I'm wondering if she's ready for some food? So far I've been feeding her plain, filtered (hard) water. PH of 6 and PPM around 400 (no nutes). Should I feed her a little? Like 5% concentration? The...

Weird looking brown scales on seedling leaves

She's getting even worse.... There are three plants: This one, it's sister of the same age of almost 2 weeks, and one of only 5 days old. This one is the only one without a tap root showing out of the bottom of the rockwool. Could something be up with her root? I'm watering them with...

Weird looking brown scales on seedling leaves

Hi All. Does anyone know what this could be from? She's a little over a week old and starting to show little brown scales on her leaves: You can see the full grow here: http://www.growkeeper.net/growurls/caligabe/ Thanks! Caligabe

    Shriveled Seedlings

Thanks for the reply, BUDS! The rockwool cubes feel almost completely dry each time I water them - so dry that it almost makes me think the seedlings are dying due to lack of water. The couple times I watered once per day before I switched to 2x/day, the cubes were most definitely 99% dry -...

    Shriveled Seedlings

Yep, when I seal up the nursery, the temps go sky high - 87 degrees and RH goes down to 39%. Probably not ideal for seedlings. So, I probably either need to leave the nursery open at night or figure out a way to ventilate better. Crap. All these little seedlings wasted because I didn't have...

    Shriveled Seedlings

The temperature is at about 79 degrees in the nursery and the RH is 53 - this is with the poly open during the day. I close up the nursery at night using poly velcro'ed to the CFL support frame to keep most of the light in so I'm sure the temperature gets higher. I'll seal up the poly now and...

    Shriveled Seedlings

Hello! New medical card-holding grower here. I've been pretty good at growing veggies in soil from seed, but now that I'm trying to grow in hydro I can't even get the seedlings to last more than a week without them shriveling up to nothing! It makes me sad because I see these beautiful...
