You will be glad you went bigger I have a 2x3x5 tent as well but run led. Regardless it isn't very big and you always wish you had more room. I grew in a closet 2x4x8 with a 400 and found two plants scrog or trained works pretty well for that space.

Just a suggestion but first go around maybe try 4 in that space.....get a feel of how big the plants will get (veg/flower). With training you can easily fill that tent with 4 plants. I like to go from solo cup to 1 or 2 gallon pots and transplant again into 5 gallon pots about 7-10 days before...

There are a couple tricks to decrease stretching. If you are veg under HID (MH bulb) then leave it first couple weeks during stretch before you go to HPS. Second hold of on bloom foods until after the stretch period. Some move lights a little closer but you will need to keep an eye on things...
