actually he could of gotten a 600 but then he would need bulb, (in or out take)fan, ducting and tent which would of came out more than what he actually spent. i think he got the right idea, keep it small in a closet with some cfl's and take the time learning the basics before he gets in over...

i got 6 42 watts and 12 26 watts intended for six plants.... is that not good enough......with mylar reflective a timer and a fan..... like a said its a hobby grow.... im just excited to try.....

spent about 150 on lights..... i would hope to get more than that back.....

because im not in it for the big yeilds and all that.... this is just a hobby....no need for all the hassles..... when i get to cali.... then i prob will do all that....

thanks for the info..... i guess two people saying the same thing must be right..... not to be a dick..... but could you explain your reasoning on that tho.... im running cfls so wouldn i need another surge protector if im running the one i use now into wall socket... timer only has one grounded...

but i have the lights plugged into the surge protector.... if i plug timer in surge and surge in wall outlet wouldnt the lights always stay on being that the surge is on at all times...i dont know im confused, just dont wanna blow nuthin.....

I have a 18 cfl light set up and i was wondering using somewhere between 450-500 true watts being used.... not equivalent.... i have a heavy duty surge protector and a wall timer..... do i plug the timer in the wall then surge into timer, or do i plug surge in wall and timer into surge...

Thanks for all the replies.... its a shame tho.....when i can get it for around 3-3500 then i will be in great shape..... at the rate it is right now i would be able to move to cali in maybe january... with only about 8 months worth of living expenses so...i think im gonna roll up a blunt a pray...

wat do you mean negoiate better in my area its supply and demand....... this aint cali bro thats the average in atlanta.......an i got good connections... there are people that pay more than that down this way... we talkin cali bud. thats alot of hand switchin and work and states in between...
