If I planted in a 25 gallon pot outdoors would that be sufficient for the plant from veg all the way to harvest? Or would it eventually get root bound requiring a transplant?

Been registered a few days, finally decided to post up. I live in Florida (850). Have had a few grows but they always got fucked up by deer, cows, bugs, people etc. Never got too serious about it but now Im tired of paying these crazy ass prices for a lil sack of herb. $60 an 8th is fuckin nuts...
