Leaving plant in same pot all season.

If I planted in a 25 gallon pot outdoors would that be sufficient for the plant from veg all the way to harvest? Or would it eventually get root bound requiring a transplant?

Depends on how long of a grow season you have. 25 gallons might not be optimal size but it would definitely work.

I live in Fl we have a fairly long growing season. I was thinking 25 gal should do the job, just wanted to hear some input.

have it in a smaller container early on, then go to 25 gal. I feel like being put right in the 25 the roots will quickly make their way to the walls of your container And then slowly start being bound up, and by the time stetch/flower comes, the roots will have nowhere to go. If in contaners i like to transplant at, or shortly before the strech, so the roots have some fresh dirt to dig into
