oh yeh a carbon filter

well i've been reading about and some folk say they've been doing it for years with no problems, but one guy said on one particularly hot day with no air movement at all he could smell it 100 yards down the street. but 4 plants... could it really smell so bad? i'm thinking it's best to be safe...

does anyone use a filter on a chimney vent for about 4 plants?

it's going to be an area big enough to enclose 2 tasty plants, separated from a larger room with white plastic sheeting (white inside, black outside). i'm just unsure about how it plugs into the electricity mains

well the room is big enough, no issues with space. i just have no clue about electrics, and how this light set up can be rigged up to the electricity mains, i.e ballast to plug. i've researched lots about the growing of the plant but still in the dark about electrics...

also, how are these things set up to the mains?

will the house light effect the plant on the windowsill when it's dark outside? it'sonly a seedling but when it gets a bit bigger i don't want it thinking the days are longer then shorter etc.
