    NFTG. Nectar For The Gods

Awesome thread. Just received my order of NFTG from Monster Gardens, spent all last night looking at the bottles confused like WTF?! I appreciate everyone's insight and explanations. Switching from General Hydro A & B, Botanicare Cal Mag, Ful-power, Big Bud/Overdrive, Floralicious Plus.

when should i give seedlings in soil nutes

It would be useful to test the pH of your soil also. When your seedlings start taking full applications of nutrients you can adjust to avoid problems like lockout.

Nectar for the Gods: Zeus Juice question

After looking into this product I found that Bio Ag provides the humic acid for Zeus Juice. I'm a huge fan of Bio Ag Ful-power and can't sleep at night without having 5 gallons of it nearby. Using drain to waste soil pots the application rate for Ful-power is max 30ml per gallon. If using...

Nectar for the Gods question: Demeters Destiny & Herculean Harvest

Trying to understand the role of each, it seems like there is some redundancy here, I feel like liquid calcium and bone meal serve the same function. To me Demeters would replace Botanicare Cal Mag and Herculean Harvest is some type of flush with calcium also. I read every description I could...

    Compost Tea Question

I got lazy and didn't swing by my local hydro store to pick up Fox Farm or Happy Frog like I normally do. Instead I picked up some miracle grow moisture control potting soil to transplant some clones (which I've never used ever). Soon after I finished transplanting I read about how the...

    Harvest question

Some will debate (Ed Rosenthal) never to remove the fan leaves. In my experience the amount of leaves you have to remove depends on your strain, space, light penetration, and whether or not I'm battling pests. From the photos you posted I don't believe you will get enough new foliage in time...

Is super cropping just a method using dimming bending and lst?

Great work. These belong in a text book somewhere.

Is super cropping just a method using dimming bending and lst?

What characteristics does your strain have? Short Bushy, tall lanky, etc. All are great methods but some are better suited for your specific strain. Also you have a time frame to work with, for example topping and fim-ing are best done early on, where as low stress training can be done as...

Can you sprout seeds in soil successfully?

T5 is perfect! Let nature take it course and try not to stress out, gardening is supposed to be relaxing. Listen to your plants and they'll tell you what they need :)

Can you sprout seeds in soil successfully?

Just the normal light in your house. If there is light coming in through a window or skylight in your home that's all the light that's needed for starting.

Can you sprout seeds in soil successfully?

Ambient light will do just fine. If you want to place it under lights you'll need to watch it so that you don't fry your plant. Should be fine under CFL or T5. In my experiance the humidity dome is a must, but you'll need to ditch it when you transition from ambient light to another source.

    Starting my first plant!

When I know I won't be able to transfer any earlier and the seedlings/cuttings are rooting like crazy I'll place the plug inside a plastic cup filled with whatever growing media I have on hand (hydroton, perlite, growstone, coco). If it's already in a rockwool cube I just sit it in a bed of...

Can you sprout seeds in soil successfully?

Soil will work great, I've had best results soaking seeds in water overnight. Just make sure you don't pack it tight at all, and there can be no light penetrating the soil to the seed (make sure it's buried and not peeking at the surface). Placing inside a moist rooting plug works the best for...

Bagseed trichome Q: will they EVER appear in significant numbers?

Assuming they get equal light you'll probably find that the most resinous plants will mature faster, It's ok for that to happen since they are different strains. I've had clones with better root systems than another do the same thing also. Just remember to take them down on time so they aren't...

What to do With Popcorn Buds

Depends on what you would like to use them for. They can become prerolls, used to make concentrate like wax, made into butter for edibles along with close trim, tincture, or a balm/lotion. I use a razor blade to remove the resin that collects on the trimming shears, and roll it into a ball. It...

    First time attempting a grow

Begin growing in a pot and on warm days place it in the sun, but not directly on the snow. If there is a wall or side of the house that would protect it from gusts of wind that would be ideal also. The plant will be very fragile in its early stages but it will become sturdier. Good luck!

What plant has a similar growing process to weed?

Where can I purchase this evaporated whale semen you speak of? Will it increase resin production and yields exponentially? Does Advanced Nutrients make a bottle?

    simple question. simple answer:)

Those options are on different ends of the spectrum. Why not flip them to flower and then see which you prefer? You might find that the SS is better suited to grow in your environment, or vice versa.

    LST training in full effect

Very nice, shape that thing creatively when there are space limitations. Sometimes you just have to stare at a good one and admire it for a LST well done. I had to have my girlfriend chop one with me out of the room because I grew too attached :( P.S. I know there are a million other factors...
