    Massachusetts Outdoor Grow 2019

Massive harvest mode before the weekend cold (frost warning) and some cold wet weather early next week. Going to be pulling some late nights trimming as the plants simply wont fit anywhere for dry trim. Took samples early and always like smoking a harvest’s output while i trim. Since a tiny...

    Massachusetts Outdoor Grow 2019

Found rot on a few big colas..its all coming down with the cold nights coming and rain early next week. Happy to have made it into October and all milky trichs so only a bit early. How do you guys manage these huge harvests? All dry trimming? Seems like a hell of a mess to hang entire plants...

Awesome. Based on these responses I’ll probably cut at least half the big colas as a precaution :)

    Massachusetts Outdoor Grow 2019

Thanks for your reply and the one before! I havent had major rot before. How quickly can it set in? Would it show on a few colas one day and then be plant-wide the day after or would it slowly take a crop over a week if the spots were plucked out? Last year we had rot here and there but...

    Massachusetts Outdoor Grow 2019

Hey everyone. Wanted some consensus here. I have some crazy big C99 plants outside. They are over 8’, bushy and gorgeous. Right now they are packing on weight and density. Trichs are at least 95% cloudy if not 100% but zero amber. Still white pistils but ive seen them starting to die off...

    BG C99 vs Generic

I just pulled the trigger on the Mosca S1 Feminized C99 seeds. I'm putting them under 800W of Vero29 Cob LEDs.

How much LONGER on an OUTDOOR GROW? Pics.

That first pic looks a heck of a lot like a bud thats completely full of rot from the inside out...maybe its just the color?

    BG C99 vs Generic

What about Mosca Seeds? Great Lakes Genetics has S1 Fem C99 seeds from them....not sure if any quality.

Light leaves on month old clones...light bleach? Reveg sideaffect? N deficiency?

If there ahould be zero chance of nutes not being available and i PH my water to 6.8, would that point to a cause unrelated to nutrients making the leaves start to yellow? Might it support the idea this is light bleaching of some kind?

Light leaves on month old clones...light bleach? Reveg sideaffect? N deficiency?

I am trying to sleuth a problem with three of my plants. These three plants are semi-established clones I acquired (~1 month old) of Pineapple Kush. I acquired them and they were in an odd early flowering state with some pistils showing ut no budding. They are extremely bushy with incredibly...

Active vs passively cooling heat sinks: mechanics of results?

Ok thanks everyone. Sounds like i may have some residual gains by more effectively cooling my lights but that the goal of more efficientyly cooling the lights isnt to reduce overall heat in the room but instead increase how well the lights perform in terms of light. Im installing a 6" s-line...

Active vs passively cooling heat sinks: mechanics of results?

Quick question about the mechanics of cooling COB LEDs via heatsinks. I have 800W of Vero29s running in my room. They all use passive heat sinks. 400w is a timber grow lights fixture with splined 130-140mm sinks and the other 400W is a DIY build using 130mm pin sinks. I had a mechanical...

Need advice: Plants at different stages...options for planning around flowering

I have a 200W 4-bay T5HO rig I veg under but I have a 400W 3500K Cob LED rig I think would be far superior. I think I'm going to veg them all together for 2 weeks and then probably start the larger ones flowering while I put the others into veg for another 2 weeks.

Need advice: Plants at different stages...options for planning around flowering

You make a really good point....since I have two lights and veg doesnt require a light-proof room I could technically just use half the "grow room" to flower the three larger plants until finished and in the meantime do an extended veg on the 6 seedlings with the second light and then when the...

Need advice: Plants at different stages...options for planning around flowering

Looking for a little advice on how I should best manage the growing situation I have in front of me. I have a 18 square foot growing area (6' X3') into which I am putting 800W of Vero 29 COB LEDs that can be dimmed. Two separate lighting rigs designed for 3X3 footprint grows but its a single...

Confirming build list: 400w DIY Vero29 build

Not an expert at all on these....when you put the Vero29SE "D" version in your care at rapidLED they give an option to add a Ledil Stella Lens. Doesnt appear to offer that same reflector with the "C" version so maybe its version specific?

    Vero29 Build..How many Cobs for 3x3?

I'm building out basically the same space requirement as my original 3X3 space is now double the size and i'm adding a DIY light. I'm going with even numbers....keep hearing to do these in rows with a good gap to avoid a spike in the center. I went with a ~400w build using 4X Vero29 C's...

Confirming build list: 400w DIY Vero29 build

Thanks everyone! Lots of options but in the end I think I want the headroom of having the available extra COB and watts. I know wattage isnt everything, though. I'm doing a 4-cob setup as framing seems more straightforward and my space is square-ish so that helps, as well. Used the RapidLED...

Confirming build list: 400w DIY Vero29 build

Lets say I wanted to save even further and go to a 300w setup, how would this list look?: -Vero29SE Type C 3500k 80CRI @$45.50 with Stella reflector=$136.50 -Meanwell HLG-320H-C2100B: $100 Heat Sinks: 3X 140mm PIN Heatsink @ $19.00 ea from RapidLED=$57 Dimmer: Generic enclosed for HLG...

Confirming build list: 400w DIY Vero29 build

Hello, I am looking to complete a total buy list for a DIY LED setup. I am already going to be running a Timber Lights 3500K Vero29fixture @ 400w and I want to slowly build a second rig to learn about these things and complement it, probably a bit more suited for flowering. Total grow space is...
