    World Of Hempy

Hey fellow Hempy-ers! I had a computer crash last week, and long story short I had to re-build my PC! I am 95% squared away and ready to get back to exploring the WoH! I am 18 days into flowering and all my plants are looking great! Nice buds forming on all. I ended up with 4 females out of...

Quest for new mom from bagseed

Another quick update: One more plant ended up being a hermie, so I got rid of it. That leaves me with four which is actually ideal for my tent. I also added two of my red LED panels, hopefully they'll add a little extra lumens to help produce big buds!bongsmilie No roots on my clones yet...

Quest for new mom from bagseed

Hey all, quick update: It looks like I may have gotten lucky and ended up with 5 females out of 6. It is still only a week in, but the 5 look like females to me and the 1 was clearly male. I discarded it as well as its clones. Speaking of which, no roots yet, but they still look OK. I...

A whole lot of Hempy and a whole lot of watts

I actually have a dehumidifier, that is a good idea. I'm a bit concerned it may become TOO dry, but during flowering that is better than too humid. Thanks for the tip! bongsmilie

A whole lot of Hempy and a whole lot of watts

It's funny how ambient temps can really affect your grow space, isn't it?!? Two weeks ago we were in a hot and humid spell where I am at and it was a bitch controlling the temps in my tent. Now that the temps have become more seasonal, it is much easier. Since my tent is in the cellar where...

yellowing on the edges of leaves?

Make sure the PH of your water is always around 6. To me it looks like a slight PH problem. Adjust your water accordingly.

Are my girls ready for a bigger pot???

If using soil always upgrade to 5 gallons for best results. As far as if they are ready to transplant now, what size container are they currently in? Basically the age-old philosophy when it comes to growing in soil is you want to maintain 1 gallon of your container for every foot of your...

Leaves yellow, curle up, purple stems and purple stem veins, burned parts of leaves

How often are you watering/nuting? Looks like classic nute burn to me. Soil can be tough sometimes. I recommend switching to hempy buckets, much easier and less messy than soil. bongsmilie

Quest for new mom from bagseed

OK all, here's some pics just under one week into flowering: No buds yet but I am already getting early signs of sex. I can spot one which appears to be male, and two which appear to be female (fingers crossed). I'm going to wait a few more weeks till I know for sure before I toss any...

More than likely. For the cost to me it is not worth the risk. But as I said, if perlite is expensive or hard to get where you're from than it may be worth the effort. bongsmilie

LOL, nothing wrong with rockwool per say. What you should have really done in hindsight was start them in Solo cup hempy's. The 3" x 3" rockwell cubes are just as good as Jiffy peat pellets when it comes to starter plants. Your mistake was putting them into the 2.5 gallon bucket right away...

I've seen mixed opinions on recycling perlite. Personally I do not recycle it, it is too much of a pain to make sure all the roots are out. It also is only around $20 for a HUGE bag at my local hydro store, so buying it is easy for me. I guess it depends on how hard or expensive it is for you...

I've recently learned vinegar in general makes a great, organic liquid that lowers PH. It contains acetic acid and has a PH of around 2.4. I've read a couple posts where people have sworn by vinegar, and insist you're wasting your money on PH down. I also think it would be MUCH better than...

With soil the age-old philosophy is you need one gallon for every foot of plant growth. With hempy buckets you get a 1:2 ratio. In other words, for every gallon of your hempy bucket you can get 2x the plant height. So a 2.5 gallon hempy bucket can accommodate a 5 foot plant. The amount of...

Hey my fellow Hempy-ers! My cool tube came in today and of course something was broken (thanks FedEx!). The ceramic that's around the socket broke and since it would've taken too much time and been too much of a pain in the butt to return it, I decided to just fix it by using the one in my...

Quest for new mom from bagseed

The Cool Tube has been installed! Of course it arrived with a broken piece - the ceramic around the socket was broken. Instead of going through the hassle and the wait to return it, I just swapped out the broken socket with my existing one. The reflector is a tad bigger than I expected, it is...

    Germination

NO! Just use regular tap water (distilled water is even better). If you live in the city leave the water out over night to rid of the chlorine. Never heard of the sand paper thing. The paper towel method works every time.
