Great lookin' chunk of resin there. What plans do you have for it? Plan on pressing then curing or curing then pressing?? I've found it easier to cure then press.

Haha you would stop trippin next week :)
Its actually a "plate" of hash i bought at Christiania. 100g @6$/g. Incredible i got this from a guy i did not know. Was certain he was butt*ucking me. But great deal.
WattSaver im harvesting my pure kush next week. I dont like the taste and will be making resin. I have never heard of curing the resin. Would you do it like with a mason jar? Whats your take on decarbing?
Ive made some hash pills using BKS recipe. Its such a great high. Lasting aprox. 5Hours. Had a friend say he was high the next day when he woke up. But i call bullshit :)

Hey fellow Hempy-ers! I had a computer crash last week, and long story short I had to re-build my PC! I am 95% squared away and ready to get back to exploring the WoH!

I am 18 days into flowering and all my plants are looking great! Nice buds forming on all. I ended up with 4 females out of 6, which is pretty good. One was definitely male which I spotted within days, the other was a hermie which took a few days longer to figure out. I plan on taking some pictures soon, so I'll be sure to post.

I ended up with only 3 clone cuttings that rooted. Not the greatest odds, but I have a couple ideas what I may have done wrong. I put the 3 into Solo cup hempy's this afternoon, so hopefully they'll do well. All I need is one to take off so she can become my new mom!

I'll check back in a few days and post some pics!! bongsmilie

I use BKS recipe for caps also, but I cut em' back a bunch, smaller size cap and twice the coconut oil. Too many folks couldn't handle just 1.
As far as decarbing, I'm a believer when dealing with edibles. From what I've read the temp should be 240 to 250 for a minimum of 30 mins, to get the most change of THCA to THC.

In reference to your plate of hash, it looks like ice water extraction, and pressed into a brick. So it's just a bunch of resin heads. With a little heat and pressure it can be transformed into good hash. I'm assuming that your brick is fairly fresh, so it will take a little more work, but break off a small chunk 1/4gm or less and kneed it between your fingers or thumb & palm. It will take 15 mins + if it's fresh, (if several months old it will work faster) but the tan color will change to deep amber & the grainy feeling will turn into a putty consistency. Give it a try please and LMK.

Still rockin the Hempy my fellow Bucketheads! And now with balls of clay in the rez...with the Skywalker OG grow finished, I plopped these 2 Blueberry Gum's into flower 3 days ago after 30 days veg. Check out the bud sites from 1 FIM just over a week ago...BTW these two 160W Area-51 LED panels just matched my best grow ever with a 400W HPS...9.5oz dried with 2-2g buckets. Won't be long I'll be putting in the SWOG (screen way off ground) to support the colas and keep them separated for ample light exposure. Gotta love grows during this time of year...low stress temperatures are here in the southern desert states.

Watt how did your ripening bud experiment turn out, Sorry if I missed the post...
The branch turned out okay, as far as looks, and smell, the taste was a little off, probably because it was in the middle of the PK boost when it was lopped off early. The buzz is not as strong as the full term bud. I'd say it's not a viable option to reduce the grow time. The only use I could see would be if you were moving or for some other reason you'd have to stop the grow early. Chopping 3 days before you had to pull the plug and hanging under the normal light cycle would more than make up for chopping 3 days early, but it still isn't full term bud.

Hey guys hope everyone is doing well!:weed:

I am having an issue with my secret jardin tent, the zipper has really become an issue. about 2 weeks ago it got caught up on itself, as it has many times before, and after an hour of fumbling with it, about 6 teeth were ruined, and i had to slowly guide the zipper over them and operate the zipper very slow, but it wasnt horrible.

Yesterday the damn thing gets caught up again, took forever to unhook the zipper and material, and lost another 12 teeth, not very happy with this zipper quality on this tent, everything else rocks, the duct holes, lightproof, but this zipper is really an issue, anybody know how to fix teeth on a zipper? would i have to redo the whole zipper? its just a hassle, if it gets caught up one more time it may not keep a seal...any body experience this? or know about correcting it?

Yes heat and pressure will change it in many aspects, potency, scent, and flavor. If worked enough it will become a homogenized and sticky like oil.

I'm just a novice but I keep reading and practicing. Here's a great thread https://www.rollitup.org/subcools-old-school-organics/648510-french-cannoli-hash-thread.html

There are 2 videos burried in the thread. Frenchy's water extraction method on page 16, and pressing on page 33

I found this booklet Hashish - The Joy of Making & Curing by LAURENCE CHERNIAK & ALAN DRONKERS it's a torrent download in pdf format. TORRENT

Update time. These are Bay 11 clones @ 18days 11/13 they are mainlined for 4 heads. 2 are from the largest yielder and the 3rd was one of the shorter phenos (it sitting on a paint can in the upper right) I also had 5 seed starts trying to find a male. Well they finally sexed, 3 more were girls for sure (that's 8/10), only one was male without doubt, the last didn't show before I finished the event. So you'll see the one male. I have mixed feelings; The lazy side just wants to let the male go off. The dedicated grower side wants to separate the male and go for controlled sex. The photos are a couple of days old so I only have a about a wk now before the pollen event happens. If I separate it will take more time to collect noticeable pollen, if I leave it will pollinate much sooner but everywhere. I would really like 6wk old seeds, to get a great germ rate. And I do want to cross the Maui Wowie in this event.

Maui Wowie is back, shame it went through mother control, main stock is laying on bucket edge. All top arms are side branches.

What has a hundred legs and holds back a monster? My zipper of course. I have a secret Jardin for vegging and and the zipper is tight too. I've wondered what I would do if the zipper failed. However, my bigger flower tent has an excellent zipper that glides with ease and has been exercised daily for 3 years. If you are ever looking for a quality tent with foolproof zipper look at the "HydroHut Silver Edition" tents. Greners.com carries all the sizes. I did a lot of research before purchasing simply because of foreseen zipper problems. If a camping tent gives me zipper problems while in the boonies, I shoot it and leave it there. BTW I don't know if the adhesive on the replacement zippers that Duck mentioned will stick to the Jardin's canvas very well or very long, looks like it would be great for plastic sheeting however. Then you might even have to cut the original zipper out. May as well hang some Panda film around your frame then use the replacement zipper. After your incident, I might buy a backup tent just in case. As well, quality of any item these days degrades with time due to manufacturing standards. Get'em while their good.
