most bottled "spring water" (in the US) is actually just straight out of the municipal water supply wherever it is bottled. very little comes from a spring in the ground. it may or may not be better than your tap water. distilled water has most of its minerals leached out before bottling. I...

I've heard that one of those plug-in potpourri pots will work. it's supposed to overwhelm the plant smell. ymmv
