Things seem to be back on track today. Seemed to grow a lot over night. I buried the stems deeper. Saw lots of roots. New leaves already growing beside second set of leaves. Good?

I just had a similar issue with pH rising. After upping ppms and changing my water it seems to have leveled out. Water naturally wants to maintain original pH so you need to have enough buffer to change short term memory. Least that's how I look at it.

Is calmag essential to growing? As this is my first grow I'm trying to keep it simple and keep it as cheap as possible. I already have over $400 into this project. I am growing for a friend who is going through chemo. I know the hobby can get expensive and I'm willing to put more money into it...

How many weeks from seed should they be to go into my buckets. I mean this is only 13 days from seed going into RW to germinate. I am at 275 ppms right now and 5.7 pH. They seem to be very happy and growing at a reasonable rate.

I'm working in dwc hydroton and RW. I've been supplying approx. half the recommended dose. I am using my ppm meter to check daily to see how much is being used. This is what my three sprouts look like:

I didnt. I apologize. Had some issues and have been focusing on basics. Water got cloudy because of water, pump wasn't strong enough, res was far too large for what I'm doing so, I rebooted my buckets. Got rid of the water pump, I'm using R/O water now, got my ph meter and ppm meter today, and...

Ok just replanted deeper and im off to the races. No more cloudy water, bout 200 ppm of nutes, lowered lights. Let's see if this works.

So back to the real world now...I just lowered the lights and I'm headed to the store tomorrow to get a pump to feed the RW and my first batch of R/O water assuming I can find a place that sells it. Thanks secondscollide.
