I've read alot of people's post and alot vary from giving it no amount of darkness to 12 hours of darkness to 24 hours to 36 hours before switching ...does it matter? Seems like a stupid question but this is just to further my knowledge

Got 2 t12 6500k and 2 t12 5000k bulbs both 40watt for fun with 3 CFL 5000k 23watt. Did it just to get a better spectrum of light and not just blues. This is for my veg room and I'm hoping for some success over the next 5 weeks :)
