Journal update: Correction to days in flower, as we are just now wrapping up the fifth week (day 35) of actual flower and six weeks from the 12/12 flip. I had to pull the smaller Big Gorilla girl out of the closet due to her feeling the need to start sprouting pollen sacs. So, I chopped the...

    Ph, light, moisture.

Personally, I've never had much luck using these meters, though if you do get one I'm for sure interested in how well the light meter works. I grow in hand amended soil, and use neutral ph tap water (though where I live the water is awesome) and have never had ph issues. One of the best things...

    She's Back - Help a Brother Out!!!

She looks nice and healthy! As long she's still popping out new pistils and her trichomes are on point, the only thing I'd say she needs more of is just, time.

Ahhh.. The beauty of genetics and growing an unstable, 1st gen hybrid. Though each plant was flipped at the same time, all three of my Big Gorilla girls are showing off their differences in flower. The Scotts OG girl is pretty on point with my grows in the past. Here's some pictures of the bud...

And.... I'm back! :) The random strain was starting show a lot of male characteristics around the second or third week of veg. This led me to cull him, and replace him with one of the fem'd Big G seeds I had started about a week into veg. After a good 7-8ish weeks of veg, the girls are now in...

    Outdoor Micro-grow Lemon OG & GG#4

Here we are at about week six of flower. The bud growth really started to pickup after I realized they were not liking the lights my neighbor leaves on outside at night, and started moving them into my shed at dusk. The seed development is doing well too.

    Outdoor Micro-grow Lemon OG & GG#4

Funny you should ask, I was posting up a picture of one the pollinated buds as you were adding the reply. :) The difference in how the the calyxes are forming is crazy. The buds that were pollinated are starting to look pregnant. lol

    Outdoor Micro-grow Lemon OG & GG#4

Here's some more close ups of the buds. First is the GG, second is the Lemon OG and the little one resting on the dowel is one of the flowers I pollinated.

    Outdoor Micro-grow Lemon OG & GG#4

Very nice! And, I bet! :) I can't wait to see how the seeds turn out from these two girls. The big diesel has been some fine smoke. I think her fem'd pollen with the GG#4 and the L-OG are going to be tasty. :D

    Outdoor Micro-grow Lemon OG & GG#4

The girls are coming along nicely and are starting to pack on the trichomes in spite of their little eight legged parasites. Here they are enjoying some afternoon/evening sun after spending the last few days hiding from the rain in their little hoop house. The GG#4 is looking to finish before...

    Are Fabric Bags Safe?

Technically... once... lol I don't want to hijack the thread with a drawn out explanation; however, here's a link to where I found the idea. http://www.growweedeasy.com/manifold I used to scrog my grows and this girl was the test run for the new technique, and I have to say it's pretty awesome!

    Are Fabric Bags Safe?

I went with the manifold technique (not perfectly executed by any means lol, she spent a little too much time in veg). Feel free to check out the journal here. https://www.rollitup.org/t/2x-big-diesel-under-2x-900w-leds.940339/page-5#post-13772373 I chopped her about 10 days early (as soon as...

    Mother Herm. Try to Self?

After several years of growing with no men in sight, she grew tired of waiting for Mr Right, and decided that she needed to pollinate herself. It's a natural reaction (one some breeders exploit to harvest feminized pollen), that even the healthiest of girls can exhibit after being alive for so...

My guess; calcium def -- yay/nay?

It's all about leaf surface temperature and the available co2 in the air. Excessive heat can damage plants both inside and outside, though.

Nute problems first outside balcony grow

With fungus gnats, I use an H2O2 mixture which will kill the larvae in the soil (but will also kill the beneficial microbes), and then put a layer of white sand (washed) on top of the soil to deter adults from laying more eggs.
