    Will this DWC/RDWC work?

Decided to go somewhere in between with circulation. I just found a decent quality 2500litre per hr pump knocking around from when I used to keep marine fish, so gonna use that on it's own for circulation. Think that should provide enough flow for 150litre reservoir. I will put a Y connector...

    Will this DWC/RDWC work?

p.s I really only used the mlyar wrap to stop any moisture getting to the wood, as the lid is made of structural plywood. You really think the mylar could cause serious problems? My room temps are pretty low and stable. not much heat coming from my lights as I'm using LEDs

    Will this DWC/RDWC work?

Thanks for the input buddy. I hadn't thought of protecting the water pumps from the roots! I really want to keep it to single reservoir with multiple plants, as that way all water is contained and no issue with potential leaks etc that would be present if I made a multi bucket recirc system and...

    Will this DWC/RDWC work?

Yes I was planning on a full grow to harvest but with only a very short veg time , maybe 2 weeks or so with no topping. Do you think would be a problem if roots merge? The res is fairly big, 150 litres or so. I also could block up some holes and grow less plants... Any input on whether you...

    Will this DWC/RDWC work?

Hi guys wonder if I could get a little bit of help, am pretty much a noob, did a few grows 20 odd years ago and since coming out of retirement have done a few reasonably successful grows in the last year. Have dabbled with a dutch bucket system and NFT (the former worked better for me). But I...

    Thoughts on trichomes

Thanks for the replies guys. great information! I thought still had a way to go, was just a bit thrown that quite a few appeared amber already. Also I didn't realise leaf trichs mature faster than those on the bud. I'll try to see if I can hold microscope steady and monitor buds instead.

    Thoughts on trichomes

Hi all, wonder if anyone could give the opinions on the stage trichomes are at on one of my plants. I cut off small sugar leaf and placed under digital microscope. It was quite difficult to get a picture with a lot of trichomes in view at one time. It was weird because on some sections of leaf...

    help wiring thermostat

quick update. i used the thermostat for a couple days and it worked fine, but wasn't too certain about the accuracy of the temperature sensor and also wanted to be able to monitor remotely. so ended up buying a device called sonoff th16 today nfor around £15(roughly $20) . very easy to set up...

    help wiring thermostat

i'm not sure it is "modified application". here in the UK this type of thermostat would typically be wired between a mains supply and an electronic/gas boiler. but they are also used to control electric storage heaters and other types of heating devices... not sure why having it connect to the...

    help wiring thermostat

thanks jypsy dog. i'm sure that is the correct thermostat best suited for a plug application. but i wired it as uncle reefer suggested and it seems to be working fine and the thermostat is controlling heater as it should. i think it should be fine as the thermostat is really designed to control...

    help wiring thermostat

gotya! tbh the thermostat was only a very cheap one to start with. gonna try and join an electrician forum(lol) see what i can find out there. if no joy will just leave the heater running constantly. it's only pushing temp to about 80f when lights off . so probably not too big a problem
