Micro/trace source for DIY salt mix

Heh, fair point. While "a little of everything" may seem a little vague, that's really what I'm looking for. Or put another way, "as much as needed to avoid deficiencies." One option I'm considering is adding Calcium Montmorillonite Clay (aka Fuller's Earth or Excelerite) to my coco medium...

Micro/trace source for DIY salt mix

I'm looking for a source for micro nutrients/trace minerals to add to my base salt mix. For anyone curious, the recipe is below (for a 100x concentrate, per gallon): B - Magnesium Sulfate (Heptahydrate) MgSO4.7H2O 191.958g A - Yara Calcium Nitrate Yara_Ca(NO3)2 265.287g A -...

    BudsMckenzie's Indoor party Box

Oh yeah, and record on each cup what height each was put into flower at. This way, after your first run, you'll know exactly which height to flower at so that they'll finish at your prescribed height.

    BudsMckenzie's Indoor party Box

A couple things... First, nice walmart build. Second, have you thought about a no-veg SOG to use more of your box? It looks like you could get 10 or more chopped 20oz bottles in there. Since height is limited, you wont need to veg them anyway, just establish a couple roots to the bottom of the...

    jumbo stealth grow cabinet

i surely dont see $2900 worth of stuff in that box, to be honest. not even $500... find a good solid utility cab, get a 400w HPS/MH system, a supercheap low-watt floro for cuttings, heat mat, some fans, and some misc hardware to screw and wire it all together. you could even afford to buy all...

    My first grow

hey dude. i dunno if it's been mentioned, but the salt that guy was referring to was epsom salt, not table salt! epsom salt is magnesium sulfate, hence the recommendation for your possible mg deficiency!

Lowryder 2 day 30, 300w CFl grow NO preflowers

looks good to me. the more reflective material you have, the better. you will capture plenty of light by bouncing it off of the floor like you've done. good color too

Can i feed my plants boiled water and save money from buying water?

i'm glad imajoker got it right, though it took several replies to reach the idea... boiling will sterilize water (to a degree) and kill living organisms, but it will only leave your water harder than it started with since you are removing pure h2o (via steam) whilst the contaminants remain. let...

    seedlings?

that may be, but it's also true to FFOF has more than enough nutes to last a seedling through the first 10-14days. also keep in mind that some strains are far more sensitive to ferts than others. there are some that will begin to burn even when fully mature with only half of the fox farms...

    seedlings?

the twisting can be genetic or nute burns. seedlings need virtually no nutes since they can use what it stored in the cotyledons to grow for a while. organic soils usually dont burn seedlings but soils with chemical "slow release" type ferts can torch young, senstive seedlings.

Weird question - Look at my ballast

ballasts are usually turned on simply by plugging them in. any switch is likely the MH/HPS switch.

    New Wave or CFL!?

I dunno bout that.. the T5 fixtures mount flat on the wall or ceiling of a cab with just a couple of screws whereas you need individual sockets installed for each of the CFLs or an additional powerstrip to mount and plug them into. T5s are much lower profile in this regard.

    Mom & Clone Lighting

T5s for the proper color spectrum, low heat, and low power. Plus, the wide, flat profile of the tubes should work well with the wide, flat profile of your clone trays.

    Here to answer Electrical Questions

^--- Yup.. I'm thinking that my best option is to recirculate it back into eBay from whence it came and just get an AC fan instead. For some reason I initially thought that a DC fan would be easier to wire! Pfffffffft... FWIW, I have two 120mm Comair Rotron AC 110cfm all-metal axial fans and...

    Here to answer Electrical Questions

fast: I have a 12VDC Comair Rotron Major (235cfm) (http://skycraftsurplus.com/index.asp...OD&ProdID=1353) with terminal connectors. The specs are 12V 2.26A. My question is, how can I power this thing? I've looked at thrift stores and Wally world and the best I can find is 12V 1.3A. I know that...

    CFL vs HPS penetration

To the OP: be wary of statements by those using phrases like, "the only way to" or "if you want any kind of decent" etc etc. There are more than a few ways of doing things, and they are not mutually exclusive by any means.
