1 GRAM per WATT

I thought i would start a new thread to discuss and see if anyone has or can show how to get 1gram per watt of light power

i am running a 250 duel spec hps light in a closet with 4 ladys growing in canna cocco, i have worked out that i need to get 8.9oz for the light which is what i aiming for, i thought i would be sweet to hear peoples coments and stories of there mission to do the same,

any infomation with regards to set up and style of grow, nuts used and in what ratioes, and what strains have been best to get these results.........

just thought forgot to ask could someone tell me when you would actually waigh the weed after 1 week of drying or after a few weeks of curing

ok i have my total for my last grow and it was 7.8 oz but i was happy as it was over 4 diferent strains this grow i will try and get the 9oz ......

a gram per watt was my goal with my 150wer, to do this i have a vertical set up. I think im pretty close to it, well see when i harvest.

Was that grown with that cfl alone? How many watts is it?

easy dude thanks for input i was using 250w HPS that was it, is your set up pure hydro or soil based have seen some vertical set up but never really looked into how it works so much .........

Whats the idea of verical? If you imagin your self a plant all you need to see is source of light and 'bam' the race is on to grow toward the source.

basically by haning a light horizontally you waste the other side of the bulb wich doesnt get to 'make eye contact' with plant matter.

what i wanna know is tech on how he did it, its all good saying yes i used this many watts and got this amount per watt i know some info is there but need more detail eh,

what i really wanna know is what stains of weed used has (anyone one got 1g per watt from pure sativa plant forinstance), meathod of growing, hydro or soil, mixture of both, did you SOG SCROG LST etc what nutrients used which makes such a big difference to then we can start taking the best infomation provided and ALL using this info to our set ups...........

I don't understand how 1 gram per watt is possible. I have a 400W HPS. If I grow 2 plants under it I should get 400 grams of dried bud? The same two plants under 1000W should give me 1000 grams? Huh?

you should do some more reading on the site and you'll get the idea. the 1gram per watt is a highly debated topic.

But i'll break it down for you. 1 gram per watt is a "goal" you can try to achieve. How you achieve this goal varies on you, and your resources.

1 gram per watt is about maximizing the use of your space, and the growth pattern of your strain(s).

you can grow atleast 4 plants from veg to harvest under one 400watt hps. and you can grow 8-10 under 1000.

now you have to learn what your plants like and give it to them. ( food, water, light, and CO2) all while maintaining a proper environment of temperature and humidity. Once you figure these out with trail and error, you can maximize your potential by employing the use of grow methods, SOG, ScROG, Vert, or Stadium for example.

so for my grow room i have a 250watt hps light so 250g is 8.81oz my last grow was over 7.5oz i am using a scrog meathod with LST and topping this will get you your gram per watt but only if the temp and hum are correct too and the right nuts are used also. at least is a challenge for yourself like it is said above......

Yep, well said. anywhere from .5 grams per watt to a gram per watt is a decent harvest. I'd say. Im sure tom dick and harry are just waiting to find this post.

easy kids hears the up date on how things a re looking on the mission for my 1G per watt. i gonna try 2 ways of gettting the best part of 9 oz, out oog my grow space, half lollipopping the pure sativa and scrog the othe hell out out the other half, 4 plants of each kind under a 250 HPS air cood light, useing also clayballs and canna cocco, along with the canna searies of nutes will keep you informed as it happends.

thy are all in veg in 1ltr tubs with mixt cocco and clay balls under a 4 light bright wing 115w till 1 ft hight then flower, will let you have some pics when there clos to flowereing............

well just an up date on my last attemped it went ok got 6oz of 2 plants but still got any closer gonna try 4-6 this time scrog styly and see what happends may resort back to 8-10 plants in SOG instead of SCROG. any thoughts on how to improve let me no have an issue with humidity rainge increasing at night due to no air curculation. its all set up in my bedroom hence low noice needed. this itsself is bring alsorts of problems.

what sort of strians would be god with more a high then a stone effect?

28 weeks of flowering, thats like 3 normal grows!
