I recently bought two clones from a local dispensary, they didnt look great but best looking they had and not many places around still sell clones.

Anyways got the girls under an hlg100 quantum board 4000k in a 2.5ft x 2.5ft x 5ft tent.
Feeding general organics who line of nutrients. Medium is foxfarms ocean forest mixed with 20% perlite. They are both in 7g"smart pots".

The I bought the clones on December 13th and got them into the 7g pots when I got home.
Started with no nutes for first week and a half then went to half feeding second and third week. Started full strength feeding this week.

I am pretty happy with the growth rate I've seen under the hlg100 just wanted to share with you all as I go along.
I will be using 4 qb132 boards from horticulture lighting group run at a total of 220w so 55w each board for flowering they actually arrive today or should so super excited about that.

Anyways any input would be great, always nice to see what others have to say. 20181213_183229.jpg 20181213_183231.jpg 20181213_183156.jpg 20190109_083929.jpg 20190109_083938.jpg 20190109_083913.jpg

Seems to be doing great. Got the light for 135$ I think. Cant beat that. Of course would be cheaper to build if you needed any bigger sqft coverage.

I’m using a 400 watt MH for veg. Personally I want to get a quantum board for my 3.5 x 3.5 tent for veg.

Your plants look beautiful and good luck to your grow with those new lights.

I'm really just asking because I've never grown in soil,

Is that really what is considered "good" growth for soil? I'm just so used to what I see in hydro so I'm honestly not judging just asking for reference is all.

Honestly I haven't grown enough in general to know if it's good growth or not for soil. I've done a couple grows one In soil and 1 in coco and this time seems to be better growth rate. Although my last grows were years ago so it's hard to remember. I would like to see the difference in a hydro set up maybe dwc or something to see how much more growth I could get. Maybe next run I will try.

I love it so far plants seem to as well. And I ordered 4 of the 3000k v2 qb132s they should be here today I'll run each board at 55w so 220w total. They should be here today but will have to order a driver this week.

Yea I am aware of nats and thrips being common in ffof. I treated the soil befor planting and also sprayed neem oil about 5 days into veg. I found 2 nats in tent and a bit of leaf damage that could have been thrips. After I sprayed I havnt seen anything else so here's to hoping it's all good Haha.
