I`m getting a sun super agro 270 watt HPS bulb and i need to know if i change from my current standard bulb, will it shock my plants, it has a 30% higher blue spectrum.

Does your existing setup have a ballast ? From the looks of this bulb you will need a 250w HPS ballast. I can not see changing the bulbs effecting the plant but we will see how others reply.

Yes,i have a 250 watt hps ballast. its a el-cheapo $95 with batwing reflector. And a standard lamp.
