I planted several plants last week after they sprouted i put them in cups. I have them in a 6 foot box 2 feet wide and about 2 and a half feet tall. I rapped in plastic with a white sheet. I have 4 6 foot cfls placed directly above them about 3-4 inches away that are on 24-7 . a fan blowing in and a fan blowing out of it for circulation. I planted them in regular soil. I water them once a day until the water reaches the top of the cup and let it drain. I feed them every third watering. A few of them are bending while a few others have purple stems and one has a little bit of yellow forming on the tip of one of the leaves. These were bag seed at one time the last time i grew them it was kill 1 kind was purple one kind was just really crysally. not sure what kind but its some of the best i smoked. i got these seeds from my last grow one of them turned into a hermaphadite and it pollinated a couple buds in each of the other plants. I know i just wrote basicallly a book but from growing before i thought i had it down pat. but i dont. so can anyone help me please!!!!!!

Dude 24-7 is way too much light use 16hrs at first and just so you dont get confused b.c u will see alot about 12on 12 offwell thats for your flowering..but you shouldnt be giving them nutes yet you are watering them way to much they are bending b.c they are prob dying...water ever 3-4 days and what kind of light are you useing?..and if any of thease are males...i'd pull them b.c u dont wanna pollen getting to ur females also lay off the nutes for a couple weeks let them build a nice base..the fan too dont keep that on so much i turn mine on for 3 hours and then off for 3 hours...but im also growing in a small space are u doing this indoor?..or outdoor?..can u get some pics up and then we can really help you

Thanks for the help i will try and get pics up. i have plenty of space to work with. and i am not sure if they are male or female. the seeds came from a feamle and a hermaphadite. these are the only ones i have going at the moment. my last crop is over and it turned out great. i was thinking i was watering them to much but the soil is really dry every morning. i am giving them nutes cause the soil has nothing in it. when sould i start giving them nutes? and will they live if they were already starting to die if i cut back on the water and nutes. i am using 4- 6 foot cfls. and i have a 1000 watt mh that i will use for the flowering. i am doing this indoors where i am from there is 4 feet of snow on the ground. Its Cold!

sounds like an over watering problem mate, dont be too keen on the nutes yet either, make the roots work for them early on

When the top of the soil is dry then the bottom is usually wet... when this happens the roots will dig deep and deeper looking for the bottom water... this will make the roots grow really well

I am usuing hydro.. and i just added my nutes yesterday .. the plants are 2 weeks old now

Probably water logged, not a light issue, many reputable places recommend 24 hour ligh up to flower, including Jorge Cervantes in his book.... Any chance for some pics tho?

Turn the fan off. Think about seedlings in nature, how much steady wind do they get? You will burn these littles guys... Once they start vegging, you can add a fan, on low at the beginning.
Too much water? How much you give your little guys each day? What is your soil like? Does it drain?

I though I should chime in on the 24-hour vs. 16/18-hour light cycle.

Your plant needs darkness. There are biological processes that only happen when the lights are off, that's a scientific fact, so running 24/7 isn't as good as running a more natural 18 hours on 4 hours off.

So, just because Jorge says it doesn't mean he's right. As far as I know he doesn't have a degree in biology, he's just grown a lot of pot.

I imagine you mean 18 hours on and 6 off, or are you running on 22 hour days....
Most recent research does in fact indicate that seedlings grow is a little bit quicker and develop a better root system on 24 hrs. The difference is minimal, but still, worth it for me. Once in Veg, go ahead and drop to 18, saves on power, that's all.
Cheer

And ona side note, I would listen to Jorge over a biologist when it comes to "growing" pot any day of the week. Experience is way more important than a degree when it comes to this stuff.

Yeah thanks for backing me up on that lighting i always do like 16 hours of light a day..b.c im planning on transplanting the ones i have going now outdoor well a few of them but...24 hours of light...hum..cant that make a hermy?..but do 18 or 16 hours of light...thats what i have done its worked well for me...b.c a plant does need darkness...

um. 16 hours of light is not enough. I do 24/7. but 24/7 or 18/6 are the most common.

you're feeding way too early. soil provides nutrients to the plant for a while. I wouldn't be feeding them until 2wks into veg at least.
