NO...never give a new plant food, unless you plan to kill it. Around the 3 week mark you start with a very low dosage and gradually work your way up.

Exactly correct about the feeding.

That stuff is just way too high in P. Put it back on the shelf and get a decent 1-1-1 or 3-1-2 at very low doses.

sounds like a grass starter, lol. Or miracle grow. Even their transplant shit has NPK like that. Just give it any kind of potting soil. Lowes has a nice product called patio plus that is like roots or ocean forest but is watered down I take it at a quarter of the price. 3 dollars.

WHOA....back up soldier, don't ever just buy ANY soil, stay away from cheap storebrand soil. Had, and seen some bad experiences with cheap soil. Now i stick to a local landscaping business' soil, since i've worked there and know what goes into there soil, and that it is properly steralized.

I know what brand he's talking about "plant prod", and it is plant starter, but meant for clones.

You could dump a bunch of plain water on it and hope for the best, but it sounds like you really fucked the dog on this one.

Do you have any books on growing plants? Might be worth your while to invest in one.

All is not lost! the plant can be saved. Wierd that it hasn't popped ground yet, usually only takes 2 days, how far down did you put the seed? Did you germinate it?

To be safe do what the last guy said, gently pour 3x the amount of water as there is soil, so if you have a 1L pot...drain 3L into the cup, do it in segments, do 1L first, wait 15 minutes for the soil so soften and any crystals that may be forming (not likely though), and then repeat, wait another 15 min and do the last litre, that's the only way to make sure there's no nutes in the soil. The little round leaves that first appear (called cotlydons), supply the plant with all the vital food it needs for the first few weeks. Once the cotlydons fall of, then it's time to start feeding your plants!

Oh yeah... its a FUBAR now.. came home today, went to check if by some miracle there was a god and it sprouted, but nope.. its confusing to explain but i have a light hanging from the top over the container and it fell to like maybe an inch over the soil... the soil was extremely dry and i put my finger down to my knuckle in soil and it was all dry as hell, not to mention it was hotter than megan fox.. so i started digging to try and find the seed because i thought theres no chance now and the seed gave me nothing but trouble and i couldnt even find it.. oh well i bought 7 seeds off my bud for $30 so its no real loss...
Germination day #1 starts today.....

Sorry bout your luck...but defenitly germ that thing, it should crack after a day or 2, once it grows a "tail" that's about 1" take the seed with CLEAN fingers, or if possible something that will pick up the seed gently, and place it in a styrofoam cup with soil, but first make sure that you have the seed facing tail down, and make sure the top of the seed is no more then a SHORT fingernail deep. Within a few days they should break ground and start it's seedling stage! Keep them in a warm place...not hot just warm...as the warmth will help stimulate the sprouting process. It does not need to be in direct light untill it has sprouted.
