10% Amber, 50% clear, 40% cloudy, when should I harvest?

It looks like about 10% are in the process of turning amber, according to the single sugar leaf I sampled off a main bud is indicating.

Otherwise it looks about 50/50 cloudy/clear.

I still have not started flushing yet, I'm at week 8 with blue dream and planned on starting around now, for a finish around week 10. None of the leaves have started dying yet really, maybe a slight yellowing, but all are pretty lush green still. There is a spur of new under-bud growth that is getting bigger everyday, while the top nugs seem to be slowing down. Alot of the pistil hairs have turned amber on the top buds, the under-buds are still freshly white.

I'm thinking about regenerating, or at least harvesting the top first, then let the bottom fill in more.

I'm doing super-bubbleponics (lots of 02 to the roots), and I think a week would be good enough for a flush in hydro, and then crop the new under-buds 2.5 weeks into the flush.

Let me know what you guys think!

I like to wait for at least 10% amber or even twice that. It's not that I like amber, it's allowing the clear ones to turn milky. I have not seen a plant that turns 100% milky, so at 20% amber the majority of my plants trichomes are milky. I know some folks here will go crazy at the thought of harvesting at 20% amber and call you names, question your education and criticize your spelling (very lame), but it is better than having half clear. Look for the point when you have the most milky looking trichomes and the least amount of clear ones.

But folks are passionate about this subject, and will go to extreme lengths to bash you upside the head with their views about such an inconsistent variable. I have had a guy trolling/sabotage my posts because I did not agree with him on this subject (so be careful some stoners smoke bud that turns them nutz). Keep an open mind and experiment with your harvest to your liking.

Better yet, record the number of days in flower and use it as a baseline for your next harvest. Make adjustments and see how it effects your product.

I like to have as little amber as possible. at ~15% amber, I harvest at a last resort. but that's only if i have to. If everything is cloudy, you bet your sweet bippy im gonna harvest. I dont see why people wait until amber when that just shows that your shit's degrading. i'd say wait until the trich's are 75% cloudy unless they turn amber too quickly
