1000sq/ft!!!! Wow cool...even impressive for a EU resident (France!)
I hope I could work in a greenhouse if one day weed will be legal in my country!
But Italy will legalize soon I guess...they are on the good way...and
since I am close to Italy!!! Cross fingers!
Are you going to add high power cob to all the greenhouse?!?
1000sq/ft would need 30000w for growing...but for a greenhouse???
30000w of cob!!! You would have your personal mini-sun...lol!
Maybe 300 bridgelux V29 @100w...crazy!
I hope you will find a better help!
Have a great day ★

Italy, wow, they were always very strict, thats excellent.

I don't know what is best to do. I do not have the plants to fill it yet though Im about to start working on that.

Lets talk per sq meter then scale up.

With the COB chips what would be the best way to illuminate this area? With your math at 30,000 to 1000 sqft thats 333 watts per square meter. What are we talking lumen output for this?

Further more doing it all myself, what are we talking for cost?

Its just over 800sqft

For supplemental lighting and flowering annuals I would also look at osram's par 38 bulbs as an option, easy installation and replacement:wink: damp location rated for peace of mind(2yr replacement warranty through amazon)===== very modular and can add as your budget allows......or not.

Cxb 3590 5000ºk cd @1400mA(50w) is 180lm/w!and cost 46.50 $ pieces cheaper if you buy a lots of it!
One will cover 45x45...1.5x1.5 foot
In your case maybe some bridgelux Vero29 @2100mA would be cheaper and better option for this size...
For indoor vegg you need about 15w sq/ft with good cob (10w is ok too!)
And 30 for bloom(20/25 too!).
Just my pov...I am not a pro...just a copycat!
How many hour are you going to use the light in the beginning?
I guess it is only for vegg!?
How many plants in it?
Loooots of work but when you love the plant it is a pleasure to take care of a lot of different ladies in perfect condition!
Do you grow organics?
Good luck with your project
Have a great day ★

Merci Littlejacob,

Do you have any idea what kind of lux 15w per sqft or 30w per square foot is putting out at canopy level please?

I will veg under a Hortilux Blue likely when they are small for 24 hours a day. Im not sure how many plants it will hold. I can do 36 legally though in this state a plant is not a plant if it is under a foot tall or a foot wide. I started out as a single cola indoor grower some years back.

I do grow organics though I do not use any fertiliser. I use at least 30% earth worm castings, 30% peat and 30% clay. A bit of Alaskan humus and just straight well water from start to finish. I used to grow with minimal ppm's of guano like under 250 and limited bloom. I actually never increased the bloom during flowering. The flavor was amazing compared to most anything else that way though growing only with microbes now the flavor is like magic. I would never go back unless I had no other options. Ill stop now before I go off on one of my tangents though I will say I hate all chemicals and likely most manufacturers of them too.

You are welcome!
You could find PPFD in cob efficiency spreadsheet thread...I told you I am not a pro...we should ask @SupraSPL about it and I guess your project should interested him!!?
Interesting law...so if I understand correctly...if the plants are under 1foot long and/or large it is not illegal...is it!??
So you can do a sog with indica there is no 1foot large plant...never...36 in a square meter!!!!
But cops can arrest you for a fraction of bud, almost dust...!
I want to tell you that I fall in love with cob...literally!
It is just the next logical step to improvement...I still can't believe what my cxb 3590 3500ºk 36V CD @1400mA (MeanWell hlg-185-1400b...200w) X 4 @50w on 4x hs 250x165x35mm plus a 120mm fan on each can perform over my 105*105*135cm (3.5x3.5x4.5 inches)...only 200w of bloom cob and they vegged better than my 400mh!
I still have a 600hps in my 4x4 but not for long and all the guys I know switch to cob because they saw my grow!
Cob + orga = perfect match!
Have a great day ★
