aloha, you can get the light a lot closer with a cooltube, I have a 1000w cooltube setup too. If you were always having the light 6-12" from the tops you would have bigger plants. Easiest thing for that is yo-yo tension hangers, pretty much made for reflectors. Lookin nice though, assuming you mean 1 wk since you changed the photoperiod? They may not be done vegging, get that light closer!

Why don't you leave one side of the cool tube open so you pull hot air out of the grow room?

If you don't want to leave one side open, tube it to the ceiling so it sucks hot air...

Or are you already doing that?

I would try two things with the cool tube.

1. try what repvip so you are sucking out hot air. The cooltube won't stay as cool as it is now, but I don't know if that matters becuase it is far away from the plants... however it would matter later as they get closer.

2. move the fan so it is pushing air through the cool tube instead of sucking air. It will make the fan work less and thus more airflow, and make your fan last longer. It is like when you blow through a straw vs sucking through it... you can blow more air than suck, haha that sounds funny. You don't suck mafio.

You could actually do both, but do one at a time first to see what helps.

Another suggestion is to try to turn the light at an angle more... the reason is that the intake ducting is making such a hard right angle when it meets the cooltube. I can tell it is crunched up against the wall, and that will affect airflow as well.

Lastly, you might need a bigger fan. For a 1000w in a closet like that you probably need at least a 6" fan at something like 400cfm, but that's a guess.

Are you exhausting the room itself separately? I saw the ducting sticking out of the wall.... is there a fan in there?

The plants look beautiful by the way... you green thumb is obvious. If you can get the temps in control that will be one awesome closet.

For some reason this picture is tiny and I can't see it... could you upload a larger copy, if you know how.

Sorry for doubling the word count on your journal, I like to type.

Looks like the picture from "turbo charge your garden " if I'm not mistaken. Its a good read but it seems that it really hangs on keeping the garden at 75 etc but I hear with co2 you want like 86. Anyway lookn good. I've heard reverse theory on the fan placement guess I'll have to go to the physics lab for that? Big fan in front of line or in back hmm anyway have fun till next time.
