1000watt sea of green.. 72 plants

Heres the scoop. I came into a bit of money and im sick of buy weed all the time! I'm done setting up my room and just about to take probably 100 or so clones from some mothers ive had at a friends house (extras will be new mothers or discarded, just need to get them out of there). Right now ive built a 6X6 room made with black and white poly and 2X2s with a 4X4 table filled with 72 6in square pots. Theres a 1000w HPS in a cool tube with a 177cfm vortex fan and carbon filter. All of the ventilation is going through a hollowed out air conditioner (ill post pics, its pretty damn cool if i do say so myself). I have one of the home hardware 6in duct fans for an intake. theres also 2 10in oscilating fans to help with airflow. I turned everything on for a day and it was running at over 90 degrees so i went and got an air conditioner to keep it around 75-80. Im using pro-mix and biocanna nutrients with pk 13-14. Now that you know what im dealing with I have a couple questions for everyone. First, I have 3 strains to choose from: white rhino, mr nice and grapefruit indica. the grapefruit and wr are indicas and grow alot bushier than the mr nice, so would it be a bad idea to try to grow all 3 on the same table? also, if anyone has used biocanna nutrients, howd they work? Another question: will 6 inch pots be enough to flower in? i heard 1 plant per sq ft, but im not sure if that applies to SOG. Any advice greatly appreciated

Ya, I don't know about 72 plants there man. Maybe a couple over 9... maybe a couple more than that if you go hydro... You will have to figure that out with some trial and error. Is the whole 6x6 being used for grow or is some of it used for storage etc.?

I'm running 42 plants in my flower room on 3 separate aeroponic systems under 2000 watts.

I'm on a 3 week perpetual harvest cycle. I use an aeroponic cloner and an aeroponic veg system (under a 250W) that I made myself.

All organic nutients.

You might want to think about an aeroponic solution.

i turned everthing on last night and the temp was still at 83 with the air conditioner so im goin to upgrade to the 6" model of fan(its over 400cfm) today or tomorrow.

Im going to b vegging for maybe a week, until the plants are 6" or so.

the room is 6X6 and the growing area is 4X4. theres a foot to walk around and for fans, airconditioner, ect.

I recently had to transplant a month old plant from its 6 inch pot. Unknown strain. It was root bound already. Im in 10 inch pots now and hope that will be big enough for another month of veg before I flower. You may want to reduce the number to give the rest more room to grow. Good Luck with whatever you do, I wish my cooltube would hurry and get here.

when people r talking about plant spacing, r u taking into account that im doing a sog? i mean 9 plants at approx 1/2 o a piece is only 4,5 ounces? thats nothing!!! i spent more than that on the light and cooltube. anyone with a similar setup out there?

this is my 1st time doin a sog so i dont know what to expect. i grew 4 plants in a closet under a 250w and got 1-1/2 - 2 os each. i figured id lose quite a bit due to the crampedness in this grow though. i just checked the faq and it says 1 plant per sq ft so that it is. thanks alot for the advice, thats why i love tis site!!! ill put some pics of my room up when i get a camera. should be cutting clones tonight! im excited

6 inch sqaure pots will give you 4 per square foot. A taller pot will give you more root space
You'll want to be using clones and flower right away.
Look forward to seeing your sea of green.

seen a few guys skipping the pots altogether, line the 4x4 table with pond liner,. fill it with medium and stick the clones in.

as far as the choice of seeds if you sog it i done see why it will matter. you would be trimming off the bottom bushiness. so neither plant should take up width.

im planning a sog under 600hps in a cooltube and thinking i will do some sort of stadium grow rather than flat...
