View attachment 2224316 Hi all I was wondering if a 100w blackstar could cover this area its about 2ft x1ft i just think the cfls take up to much room and they are a but of a clunky mess to work with. I was looking for something different, I was thinking of a 250w HPS light but i also read that a 100w blackstar is = to 340w HPS so I'm just looking for input.

You're going to get way better results with a 250watt HPS than that LED....pretty much the only LED's worth a crap are the HUGE panels with 3-5watt diodes because the ones with less diodes at lower intensity like 1-2watts have hardly any light penetration, so only the top of the plant is getting benefit and you pretty much are gonna end up having to keep all the CFL's in there as side lighting to get any kind of good yield. 250watt HPS is gonna give you way bigger yields, especially if you get yourself a 4" inline fan and an air cooable fixture to keep the HPS light cool. You'd get killer yields in that 2x1 foot space with a 250 if you keep it under 80 degrees.

Thats what I was thinking right now my temps are anywhere between 74-82 on 24/0 cycle with about 290 real watts of cfl's I have a 240CFM 6in duct booster fan at the top of my cab to cool things a bit. prolly look for a HID light
