10x10 grow tent , 2000 watts , first grow ?

I'm using a 10000btu portable ac In a 9x5 with 2 600s. It's not enough. I have a 14000btu on the way.

So you have no plant limit?
You have to decide whether you are going to do 300- to 600 plants with the sog method or a few plants with scrog or lst.
Either way you are limited by light. A 600 watt will do about 4x4 and probably realistically 3x3 will be good dense bud.
You are indoors so it really doesn't matter how much light you get, you still don't want to grow big trees.
I imagine you're thinking alot of big trees but that's not where it's at man.

You have to get light to them and 600 or 1000 isn't going to penetrate very deep. So if you get into big plants then you would need lights on the top and sides. Why waste the lighting for the sides when you could scrog or lst smaller plants to give you more horizontal growth that your light will more efficiently cover.

Please go to youtube and watch a bunch of videos on scrog and sog. Then you will have a better idea of what to do.

Alright i see what you mean theres alot of different ways of doing it im just trying to invent the 1st first grow auto grow 10x10 10 pound yield

A gram per watt is an average yield. Under that is not great. Good growers are pulling 1.5-2. Also really depends on your setup. A 10x10 room is probably better with 4K watts than 5 as well if power/heat is a concern. 5k is a bit overkill and will just give a big hot spot in the middle. So 36amps on a 120 circuit for the lights plus fans/ac. could always go 600s and cut down to 20 amps for the lights. Most apartments could handle at least that much in a room. Plus gpw will probably be better as 600s are more efficient than 1000s. Yields will definitely take a hit with 2400 vs 4000 watts, but dialed in 5+ pounds from 4 X 600s is pretty easy to do. He wouldn't have to worry about blowing up his breaker though.

alright cool thanks man you helped alot ill try 4 600's and pray for 5+ bit could you tell me the estimate if i had 4 1000's ??? Estimate in lbs i mean ... I just want to know the difference im making

You think 1 gpw is average? What do you think about my 4 plants in a 4x4 net with 2 600s?? I would be thrilled to get 2 lbs. Lol. I was thinking 1. 1.5. It's blue kripple. Supposed to be high yielder.

I just pulled ~536g with 310 watts. So I think I went up about a point between last harvest and this one but here are guys pulling Better than me. When I was running my 600s I was consistently pulling 1.5-2.4, so it's definitely doable with your system dialed and decent yielding strains. With Lower yielding strains a bit less, but I think a lot of growers aim for a gram per watt at first, but most good growers are doing that or better with finicky shit. There are exceptions like extremely low yielding, highly medicinal/potent strains. But those guys are looking at yield at all. It's a totally different game.

It's because they are more efficient, so they put out more light and less heat per watt than any other wattage hid system. Kind of a weird one, but that's why.

How do you calculate grams per watt accurately?

I would add all my equipments electrical draw and decide what I pulled that cycle by that number. It's all kind of relative because of all the different grow styles and veg time/training etc.
