So you know whats going on with those fan leaves in your 2nd pic?
Is that normal die off?
Is that limited to one plant?
And would you pull the more heavily damaged?
I ask as I have come across reports of deficiencies with this strain showing at mid point and later.
I had assumed an N deficiency, but what I see on yours has me thinking different.
I'm treating that as an NPK deficiency and I'm only seeing it on one plant out of the 5. It's my Tangerine Dream no.4 and...at this point (day 37), it's the most developed. I think it's going to be a keeper. I use biocanna vega and flores in my formula and I've noticed some yellowing with other strains in the past but just needed an adjustment in their feeding schedule to take care of it. I rarely remove any leaves and I'll leave these for the time being. Like I said, this phenotype has flowers that are developing much faster. The other 4 look like each other and are growing in a similar way to most sativas (with a haze influence) I've grown. We're only half way there so we'll see...

Your photo's are .....well.....mind boggling............
Thank you for the detailed response. I am only growing 1 TD under scrog, as opposed to your 5, and value your expanded viewpoint & expertise and that your 24 days ahead of me.
I am also balancing my grow & Bloom nutes as I enter flowering and plan to taper off use of veg nutes, somewhere around week 4 to 5 (depending on what the plant says) to address what I have seen in other grows. Should I be growing the more Sativish of the two Phenotypes you have identified, that may not be necessary.
If I understood you correctly, Once flowering has commenced, #4 is developing faster in it's flowering phase compared to the other four.
Another TD question or 3......... Assuming the other 4 TD's you have are of one phenotype, and #4 is of another, did both phenotypes start to flower approx the same time or was #4 noticeably earlier?
And if you recall, when in 12/12 did they start to show obvious flowering. (my guess would be mid to late, week 3)
And lastly are you counting down from 1st day of 12/12 or from 1st day of actual flower? (knowing the projected 10 week flower cycle is just that.....projected)
I appreciate your sharing of info.

Yes, no. 4 is developing faster, much faster in fact. They all started to flower at the same time and it was mid way through week 3. I'm counting from the first day of 12/12. No problem man, I'll answer any questions that I can.

Kudo's for the fore thought that shows in your setup.
I've been fretting at times about headroom. Then I realized your op has the same height restriction as I do, and that you set your screen at approx 3'6" off the floor (mine at 28") and are running 4 cooled 1000 watt-ers (mine, one cooled 600 watt).
So I got to ask, how close can you run your lights?
Have you ever run out of headroom in a grow? (clearance to your lights)
And what is your lower screen's grid, square size? (to be clear I am not asking for overall size of the screen)
And do you harvest from underneath?
The scale of your grow & all components are fascinating to me. Bravo......

Thanks man, my bulbs are around 15 inches from the flowers and I don't have heat problems now that I've got each set of 2 hoods cooled by their own 6 inch fan (closed ventilation system). I haven't run out of headroom yet while using this technique of training. My lower screen is the same as the upper, 5x5 squares, and I harvest by cutting apart the screen with the plants. I replace the screen every time.

Hey SVT my tangerines are on day 46! Coming along great now... The beginning of flower was realllly disappointing for the strain that won the cup... but near day 50 in flower and I'm kind of seeing how it won, such an interesting smell.

Gotta order some Reserva Privada Headband seeds soon!

Here's a few photos of day 44 attached

These are up there with the largest plants I've grown, and they are the biggest I've put into the screen. Organic/Biodynamic Soil, OG (mostly Vegan) Nutrients. Never PH'd! I've been working with my vegan/biodynamic formula for a while and I've got it pretty close this time with these strains. I've noticed something I'd like to point out. Smart pot users will notice this... I have no residue of any kind on the outside surface of my smartpots. If you have used fabric containers with any other formula you know what I'm talking about. I think that no salt residue on the pots surface equals no residue in the soil. The aroma is amazing on day 41, I'm really excited. Here are a few more pictures.

I think I could learn a lot from you. dishinit sent me your way. I really like your dual scrog, definitely going to do that on my next grow- too late now just having to use string to hold the buds up above the scrog atm! only about 10 days off harvest at the moment anyway so don't want to start messing around in my cab at this point.

You have done a really beautiful job man and your tent is ridiculous! subbed +rep.

just read the whole journal. the canopy shots are beautiful. I would love to have a tent that big. my grow partner has been on about tents for a while but arrogantly i wrote them off as a gimmick but have recently been coming round to the idea. this tent takes the biscuit, cake and the whole bloody pie!
Just a quick question- i may have missed it when i was gazing in awe at your pics, did you top your plants or let them grow tall then scrog?

also i may have missed it again but what kind of extractors do you use?
and do you use a dehumidifier or is your air flow within the tent enough?

I saw you said you water by hand- do you have a central res that you use or do you literally water by hand? i dont know how to phrase that question right!

sorry for bombarding you with questions but you are next level and i am curious about how to pull off such a big grow.

Thanks man, to answer your questions...
I let them grow tall and then I move them into the scrog.
I've got 1 - 8 inch inline fan exhausting the room, and no dehumidifier. I have the fan running 24/7 and my humidity in never an issue, but if I turn that fan off the RH level jumps to 60+% pretty quickly. There are 6 in. inline fans cooling the lights.
I have a reservoir in a central location and I use a 1/3 horse power sump pump, hose, and watering wand.

thanks for checking things out, let me know if you have other questions.

Thanks man. That's pretty decent, the ones I was looking at were well over 100, I guess I'm going to lowes soon, hah...

Well I hope you have help, cause that harvest looks daunting, in the best possible way.
Your TD's look amazing.... Is one still ahead of the others?
Is your upper screen sectioned off in some way, so that you can harvest early ripers and still maintain cola control on the 10 week strains?
In other words is your TD upper screen separate from your other harvest?
I have used & now recommend your string screen ideas on a much smaller scale, one TD in a 4 X 4 scrog.
Had to, as my lone TD shot up in the 3rd week of flower (1st two weeks...minimal growth) to a cola height of 18"+ above my screen and I discovered an unexpected benefit, in that I could gingerly re-weave the more aggressive colas back under the upper screen and gain a bit more canopy control and allow the shorter bud sites to catch up.
And I really like the idea of cut away screen when harvesting & cleaning up.
Gonna do both upper and lower in string next time.
Thank you so much.

Wow SVT - amazing looking grow. I agree with dish, you're going to have one hell of a harvest job there - I hope you have a good 3-4 man team! Let me know if you need a hand. LOL.

But seriously, I'm stoked to see such success at that stage with the TD - got something to look forward to! :leaf:
