10'x10' Tent with Eight T5 Bulbs High Output Bulbs for side only and a 600W HPS/MHS

Here is a question that I want to check myself on. In a 10 foot by 10 foot tent with two light sources.

#1.) An 8 Bulb T5 four foot High Output set that is setup for the side growth only.
and
#2.) An 600W HPS/MHS setup that is capable of using both bulbs when needed that is also cooled via. its own fan.

I have a 21 inch fan on the floor of the tent as well as a CFM fan that is dedicated to the 600W itself.

Here is the real question. I want to plant from seed something that grows approx. 3 feet tall and becomes more bushy than tall.

Now for the question:

How many plants can I reasonably put in this 10 by 10 space with the current configuration?

I would put a light mover in there so you can use more floor space, i wouldn't go more than 5x5 or so with the 600, and that is pushing it. How many plants you can put in a 5x5 space is of course up for debate, some will say 6 and some will say 60. Depends on how much of a forest you want.

It's a 10'x10' or a 10 foot by 10 foot space unless you lowered the space for some reason I don't know about? Also, don't forget about the 8 four foot T5 bulbs. Does this change any of the equation?

Not enough light for a 10x10, the plants on the edges will be light starved, a single 600 watt should do no more that a 5x5 area for growth. That is why i put a 5x5 area. You will need much more light to use the whole area, like 2 600s on light movers. No that t5 is not nearly as much light as you think it is, works great for veg, so so for flower, you could do another 5x5 area with it, but the light would need to be as close as possible to the plants. Honestly i think i would split it in half with some panda poly, and a zipper, then use your t5 to veg and clone on one 10x5 side (probably need more light to use the whole side) and then use the 600 on a light mover on the other 5x10. That will give you plenty to deal with for a while, and decent yields, my flower room is almost exactly 50 sq ft, and off of a single 1000 watt without a mover i can take down 2 lbs no prob. Just my thinking

Good advice! Do you mind if I PM you with specific questions on exactly how I would do that?

Yeah thats fine, i am very open to talk about whatever on here, only a few things i will only talk about in pm, but ask me anything and i will do my best to answer to the best of my knowledge. I do not currently have a light mover, but plan on an addition in Feb so i have done a lot of research.

I agree with the 5x5 with a 600 watt statement. I have a 5x5 tent with a 600 watt HPS and it is barely adequate. I will be putting a 1000 watt HPS for my 5x5 to bring light intensity up. In a 10x10 space I would go with 2 1000 watt HPS or 3 600 watt HPS. Just IMO of course, from my experiences. Good luck!
