11/13 instead of 12/12

Anyone run 11 on and 13 off? I’ve noticed my plants getting close to when my lights go off look a little droopy. I follow this guy on ig that runs hlg leds with higher ppfd at 11/13. I dont use leds but de gavitas. I run them at full strength during flower but when i do throw plants i my flower room i have to give my plants a week to adjust to the light because some stress out from the intensity. Is the drooping before my lights going off just my plants telling they’ve had enough light for the day? Would I be better turning down my lights or running my light schedule 11/13?

Dont turn your lights down. It's not that great for the bulbs, spectrum or efficiency. 11/13 is fine as long as the intensity isn't too stressful due to being too close or too hot.

I have noticed them anticipate light and darkness. Not saying plants have brains and can do rational thinking and run the country but I noticed when just before the light shuts off(even after I feed/water them in DTW), the leaves start to droop. They stay droopy for a few hours into darkness(seeing with night vision camera) and around an hour before the light comes on the leaves position themselves and get ready and anticipate the light (perk up). Some strains do it more than others. Check to see if they are watered, not over watered, and there is no light leaking in they can see. They will position the leaves to catch any stray light that enters your grow space and when they go into flower weaker strains will hermie if there is enough of it.

I run longer dark cycles the last few weeks right now I’m running 13 off 11 on. I’m not saying it’s right it’s just what I’ve always done next week I’ll turn them to 14 off and 10 on there last two weeks. In my mind I think they push harder if there in longer dark cycles. It’s like they anticipate there soon to be death and push as hard as they can just like the days continue to get shorter outside the days get shorter inside

i kinda tried that on a few grows that seemed like they wouldn't finish.

ive been trying lowering light intensity for the week before harvest.

I work my way up to 100 percent for some of the flower cycle and dial it back to 80 I see if I try and run 100 percent late into flower they want to burn and show stress sometimes I lower it down to 70 if the 80 is to much

That seems to be the hot spot I run the hlg rspec 650 two side by side and they took some getting used to. I had to burn a few things to learn that 100 and 90 which seems to be the same in my opinion just burn shit and don’t really help anything. I want to add uv but am nervous I already bought the stuff just haven’t hooked it up yet.

The plants hardly notice 11/ 13 .
Does'nt affect the yeild either.. ive grown 10/14 and 9/15 in the past.. although many plant strain/crosses get wonky at 9/15.

i run 11/13 on light dep outside just cuz it's easier on the lifestyle....go out there around 4 o'clock and close up shop then anytime after 5am in the morning i can start considering put on the farmer john clothes and get out there. Plants don't know from adam.
