So I just want to say a few things....

I havent done much to them latley..... I remove some lower leaves but not too often...

I took some cuttings and just threw them in the remaining pods a few days ago... in a few more days or so Im going to pull them up and see if any roots sprouted....just a lil side experiment

I think theyre doing great especialy the center plant....I figure around 4 more weeks till smokable buds...

Im so happy with this thing, its amazing... Its funny too Since I started posting on this site 2 months ago I've receieved messages from about 5 different people getting the aerogarden I'll bet you theres more to that just are remaining lurkers....lol

I feel like the Aerogarden Guru, I love it tho
So for all you fellow aeropirates welcome aboard! Arrrrr!

Peace

LOL... NICE dude!!!

truly impressive with such a small set up an NO side lighting..

I am very curious how the grow would do if you had six plants and then flowered them when they are 2- 4 inches tall..

very nicely DONE!!!!

Well there is 7 holes so i guess its possible to get 7

I ended up with 3...1 of which might as well be dead and another that is just smaller than the big one in the center...

And yes ive used the bulbs that it came with the whole time

Let me start by saying that I am totally impressed by your work with the aerogarden. I just bought one of them and have been toying ariound with it. Haven't planted any mj yet. I'm going to run this thing through a few cycles to see how it works. Patience is a virtue.
Here's an idea; Since the ultimate goal of growing kush is "the flower" then wouldn't it seem logical to buy the nutrient tablets for the Petunias (one of the seed kits available)? I woud assme that the light cycle would also automatically adjust itsself to get the plants to start flowering. What do you think?
Also, did you add any additional nutrients to the water? When the plants grow past 2 months, what do you plan to do since the seed kit only comes with a 2 months supply?
I'm looking forward to joining you in helping this household appliance reach its' true potential.
From one scientist to another!!
Cheers!:peace:

ps; the bulbs can not be replaced. they are custom built for this system

Great Job with the Aerogarden. Question, what lighting setting did you use for the growth stage. Lettuce I presume? What setting did you switch to when the plant started flowering?
Good luck, and may your harvest be bountifull:peace:

Tek pioneered the whole expedition, so he has had to actually splice the wiring on the hood to extend it's height beyond what it's maximum height is..and he also has just been manually turning the lights on/off.

After reading what Van had done with plugging the light hood unit into a seperate plug completely...I did some more sleuthing and actually came up with exactly what you need to get this working. It costs less than $15, and you can get everything you need at the local Radio Shack.

Rather than post the whole thing again, I will refer you to this thread , which will hopefully contain all the pooled useful info from all of us Aerogardeners out there!

thanks a lot for that post merciless , i really think that if we perfect this system to the point of being able to have 4 or 5 plants, all about 2 feet tall when finished, with a lot of budsites, and make it so there isnt that weird potassuim lock out thing that goes on in the first couple weeks, we could create a great thing that will make the company that produices the aerogarden very happy with their increase in sales. ahah

Thx for answering for me Merc. i get sick of typing the same thing over and over again....

Especially when someone new msgs me about the aerogarden just about everyday....

Aerogarden should give me a job with them, I believe i have personallly and now with you guys too probobly increased their sales a couple %...lol

I just want to mention that I have kept it on the peppers/tomatoe setting throughout the whole process. It gives 16/8 and runs the water while the lights are on... stops the water for about 5-6 hours then it goes back on an hour or 2 before the lights turn back on again....

Any setting should work I believe....(one of the settings maybe be as much as 17/7, but am not too sure, i forget)

During flowering it automatically turns on at 430pm so i just wake up at 430 every morning and turn it off and go back to sleep....Although there have been about 3 nights where I slept through my alarm clock and the plants go a couple more extra hours of light, no more than 3 hours each time it happened...Opps!

I dont think that this has caused any negitive effect....It could possibly of helped...but who knows

umm... Thats all i have to say about that

Peace

do you mean the lights or the actual system? because if its the watering just put it on lettuce, and if its the lights dont you have a timer or something? because thats what i have. tek may have pioneered this, but not to be a bitch...i have learned from his mistakes and perfected it.

Im still not sure i understand.....

When I get up I just reach in and press the lights on/off button to turn them off.....12 hours later they aytomatically turn back on
