A lot of growers go 12/12 or 11/13, but cut ti back to 10/14 or 8/16 the last 2 weeks. Some increase light to 14/10 the last few weeks too. I'd say cut back the light for sativas, and add a tiny bit for indicas.I know you use 12/12 to induce flowering, but once it starts, can you gradually back to 18/6 or 24 to hit it with maximum light?
Timers are like $5 at the home improvement store, but a few hours a day might be okay; might also cause hermies.K thanks.
How accurate does the cycle need to be? What if it varies an hour or two per day?
i dnt mind cfl's but i only use em for veg but plenty of ppl get great results with them chk out my cfl plant https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/151055-26-watt-cfl-veg-my.htmlMy plan was to induce flower with 1 23w 6500k and 1 42w 2700k, then 3-4 weeks in, switch to 2 42w. I want small plants with a short life cycle, so I'm flowering early, 2 weeks from seed. Going to keep the veg light on to support the growth, then slap it with more 2700k to finish.
If you don't like cfls, you can please participate in another thread. I've dropped enough cash, and now I just want ideas to maximize return on what I have.
