I see the third node growin outta there, very tiny today.. the first branch looks good, seconds coming in nice, and that third set is workin its way out..

My only question is, the stem looks weak, how can I strengthen it up a bit..?? I have a fan blowing away from the plant, it sort of moves the plant just barely.. I heard that helps, but whats something else I can do??

I've included a current pic.. Day 14 of 12/12 from seed!!!

The stem will get stronger , as the plant grow's but if you want it to be really strong, have the fan set on low and blowing directly on the plant, a oscilating fan would be better. Just dont let it blow too hard on the plant or the amount of water evaporating will be higher then the amount of water sucked in by the root sistem and that can kill you'r plant .

Looking very good so far, keep it this way ;)

Peace!:joint:

Got a digi hygrometer and temp monitor last night... Put it in this morning and it seems my temps are high.. The included pic shows 89F and humidity of 28%.. it varies between 87F and 93F, and the humidity varies around 27% to 30%.. I will check out the dark readings in the morning..

Someone who knows about temp and humidity, please feel free to help me out..

Heres the pic..

I need to know how to raise the humidity in my grow space... My girlfriend suggested a bowl of water.. LOL, i dunno how well that would work.. So any ideas would be appreciated..

It will take some time and preparation, plus I need to figure out what materials I would need to build something to hold the lights.. I love ghetto grows..

Drill 2 holes , one on the top of the box, the other one the bottom of one of the side's of the box. get a 12 volt's phone charger and 2 computer fans . mount the one on top to exhaust air and the one on the bottom side to intake air, and wire them to the phone charger ( red wire's in the midle hole of the jack and black wires on the outer rim of the jack) and then build light stopper's from cardboard , if don't know hot to make one, i will draw a sketch .

to increase humidity get a black boul of some sort (black absorb's heat ) and put a wet towel in it, and put it in front of the intake fan. sometimes just opening the window raises humidity , depend's on where you live .

Peace !

Thanks for the advice... I can do the top, but I will have to go with the back, bottom for intake.. I will try the black bowl and warm cloth suggestion.. Thanks man..

cool :) it's gonna work just fine ;)

in case you have stealth issues or you don't want any light to come in/out of the box, build 2 cardboard light trap's and mount them on the box, right on top of the intake and exhaust holes.

paint the light trap's black on the inside or get a black pen or marker and "paint"them.

here is a sketch on how to do it :

Peace !

Nice diagram.. If I was working with something other than a broken down computer desk I'd do that.. but this is in a room with no windows and the door shuts before the lights go off.. I will try that however, when I start doing multiple grows in said room..

Got a little yellowing/burning tips on them bottom two leaves.. See picture.. The fan leaves are fine, thats just the leaves reflecting the light.. Gonna lay off nuting till I see the sex.. She (hopefully) is doing great other than that... I have a feeling its about to take off, height-wise.. Check out the pic..

Did you transplant it that night before it flopped? If so it may have just been a bit of transplant shock an could have bounced right back... maybe.
i had a plant from my first (botched) grow lean over and touch the ground after getting transplanted. the next day, upright and strong. but died a week later from way way way too much heat stress.
