12 COB, what amperage?

Sorry, this driver has 6.7A, if I connect 3 in parallel I would have 2.2A on each COB? Or what amperage would be the COBs running at?

That is correct.
The ab has adjustable current, so you can set it where you want. They also are dimmable.
4 would be pretty perfect on one without adjustments

As I'm planning to make fixtures of 3 COBs, I can not connect 4 to a driver, in that case I will be forced to dim the light so it doesn't run at 2.2A. Maybe a hlg240 42b would be a better option?
BTW, What amperage I should be aiming for?

Talking about fixtures, as it's a rectangle, 8x4ft, I thought about 3 fixtures with 3 COBs each, independent and each with its one driver on it. What do you think? A better option?

Hi guys, first of all saying hello to everybody, this is my first post, hopefully you guys will welcome me and my newbie questions.
OK so first things first.
I have a 8x4x7 ft tent ( I believe so, it's actually 240x120x200cm, hopefully my calculations are correct.)

I was planing to use 12 COB CREE cxb3590 3.5k 80cri, with 4 MW HLG-240H-2100B.
Resulting in 3 COBS per driver.
Are these Cobs enough so I can be flowering at 1400mA? Or should I run them at a higher amperage? Would you recommend a different configuration?
Just wanted to consult you people before buying anything in case I'm wrong.

My first COB's were the Cree 3590's running at a cool 50 watts per COB. They're not as efficient as the Luminous COB's now days but they are stout and might last 20 years. The verdict is still out on daisy chaining thousands of little Samsung chips together and getting the dependability of good COBs. I've got some QB's and so far so good, but they just seem cheap to me. Bright freaking light and super efficient for sure but for how long only time will tell.

I never really got caught up in the fine details. As mentioned above, the 80 cri always have a little more L/W, and the 90 cri were a little more reddish in the spectrum charts, I do believe.
I tend to not GAF about minor idiosyncrasies.

As I will be using it only for flowering, I was planning to put on each 4 COB fixture, 2 3500K and 2 3000k chips. What do you guys think? Maybe all of em 3000k? Should I mix them?

I'll stick to the COB man... I am now planning on putting 18 COB, 9 on each 4x4. So what amperage should the driver have? I will buy 6 meanwell hlg240 to power every 3 COB. I was wondering how would they work at a 1700mA amperage. What amperage do you recommend me for flowering? This being said, is the passive heatsink an option as I will not force them to 2100mA anymore?

And 4 cxbs on the hlg 185h 1400A on the arctics too.
I think they were ~50 watts a cob. MW Apv 12 12 driver for the fans if I recall correctly.
I could get them 6" to 8" away from plants without problems but 1ft 300mm away normally.

Are you getting the Cree cxbs dirt cheap or something...?
A quick Google search gives me ~ £30 €35

Not much difference. I've run 3000k from veg to flower and the 3500k too

42€ for 3500k
52€ for 3000k (guess it's not worth it)
And I'll get the Arctic alpine 11 pro v2, I get for like 10€ in my local dealer, iceled rounding 17€...

So you think running 20cobs in a 8x4 tent at a 1.4A I'd be OK? I'm thinking maybe putting 5 COBs more in a future, but 20 to start with.

Keep in mind you will need to drill holes for screws to mount the chip on the Alpines, unless you intend to use adhesive. In that case, they'll be stuck forever. The MechaTronix coolers have holes positioned for many sizes of CoBs. You can tap them, or just use self-tapping screws. To drive 4 fans, choose Mean Well APV-12-12, for 5 fans, choose MW APV-16-12.
Not really dirt cheap...
42€ for 3500k
52€ for 3000k (guess it's not worth it)
