12 wk OG Ghost train haze #1

Mmmm, love me those hazey gals!!!!

Curious about the lighting that you used? Also did you flower at 12/12 the whole flower cycle?
I find the the hazey dominant gals prefer fewer hours of light a day as they progress.

I got a couple packs of GTH#1 3 years ago from Attitude. Germinated 15 seeds. All came up. Got 9 females. All of them were pretty potent, and had a better than average taste. Pretty uniform Sour lemony taste in some with a hint of anise/licorice. Very low yield. Long internode spacing, typical of a Sativa dominate plant. Varied a lot on flowering time.

For sure had to be supported. They were fairly similar, though some were thinner than others, but varied a lot for flowering period.
Some were done in 65 days, but I never had 1 go past 80 days.


I vegged in 5 gallon containers with 2 1000w Hortilux HPS, on 24 hours. Flowered in 20 gallon containers and 3 x 1000w Hortilux.

Best plant produced 8oz. Got 49oz total.

By comparison I am currently getting 2- 2.5lbs x 1000w Hortilux from 2 plants in 20 gallon containers of Mr Nice Super Silver Haze. 75 days flower. Though some can go 63.

Potency is about the same vs GTH1. GHT1 may taste a little better.

I also agree with pure/more Sativa type plants, a bit less light can be a good thing. I start with 12/12, and the last 3 weeks cut back to 11/13. I really don't think 1 hour less per day does a lot to hurt production, but I have read it has a positive effect on the chemical profile of the plant.

I've got 400w hps with 450w viparspectra led ( 200w actual) and like 5 23w cfls. Working pretty well so far!

So are you saying you would reccomend goimg to an 11/13 or even 10/14 on/off schedule? Unfortunately I am running other strains at different weeks of flowering im the same tent and would not want to risk losing out on potential with the others. That's an interesting find though. May I ask how you came about this or figured out the prefer less light.?

Exactly. My favorite plant to date was a original haze x skunk 1 from sam the skunkman. From that pack one of the females leaned heavy on the haze side. The first couple of times i grew her with 12/12 schedule she needed close to 16 weeks to flower. Once i learned about shortening the day length and implemented it in the tent she was done closer to 13 weeks. I really miss that plant. That was my introduction and the beginning of my love for those thin leaved, long flowering varieties.

I think most hybrids would not mind a 11/13 schedule at the very least.

those are the regular seeds.

go under FEM seeds and you should find them there.

Just cut her down last night! Solid 50 50 mix of clear/milky trichromes with plenty of Amber mixed in. This thing grew crazy. Some branches are almost 2 and a half feet long with just the last 12 inches with buds. But God damn, these buds packing on some weight. Couldn't believe how heavy the felt. Interested to see how the cure and dry out. I didn't snag alot of pics but here's one pic of a branch that was one of the heaviest

My gals are all around 6 ft tall. I wasn't prepared for the stretch. I've got 5 going at the end of 9 wks flower. Ive got 1 of the six that fucking outrageous in yield and potency. It has 4 tops bigger than 20 bottles. It's the one I broke a piece off. They definitely have different phenos. I didn't want to purchase any meds so I cut the weakest looking gth about 5 days ago. Nothing special whatsoever. My wife thinks it's good but I'm a connoisseur. It gets u baked but not stupid like my keeper. I can't even explain how high I was the other night off that tester piece. If it's that good now I can't wait for a 30 to 45 day cure

Did you do any topping or training? I am growing under a 400hps so I can't let me plants get over 3 feet if it want decent yields. It's ridiculously covered in trichomes its incredible. Smell is sweet, kinda citrus. Can't wait to taste her! Hopefully in about a week it will be dry enough for a proper taste

Here's some updated pictures. Tried to get some best I could. I'll post more once I get my drying and during finished. Considering shes usually not a heavy producer. Under 600w of lights, I can't say I'm dissapointed in the yield. The buds are very nicely uniform and very dense . But definetly hard to justify taking up a spot in the 4x4 for 12 wks. I'm sure she will smoke great and will just need to smoke this stuff on special occasions .

She was chopped down a few days ago. Still not ready to show its full potential . I dried a smaller bud out to sample. Smooth hitting. Immediate head change. I would say I felt more euphoric than anything. High lasted for quite awhile as well here's a few better pics

So many trichs it's amazing! Straight citrus haze! I topped it twice.
