First time growing under CFL. Planted 6 seeds, 4 came up.

Hope to get 2 female but a single one would be OK. Don't need a lot of bud for myself.

Figure I'll start flowering after I get 3 or 4 leaf nodes.

Not going to be vegging for too long so I've got them under warm white on a 16/8 schedule for now. Might go to 18/6 after they grow a bit.

125 Watt in a Hydrofarm CFL hood. Growing in a closet.

Had it too close to the seedlings. they were bending away. Moved up about a foot and a half.

ad soil as high as you can so tehy arent so streached and move the light close a cfl should be within 1-3 inches but if you gotta true 125w cfl so a 500w incandescent value bulb it should be within 3-5 inches

Used some soil to support the stems and adjusted the hood for about 5" distance.

Now on 18/6. No nutes yet. Just tap water.

Lookin good.

About 10 days old I think. Repotted into coke bottles. 24 hours of light.

Maybe a week or 2 more before I switch to 12/12.

Watered with a low concentration of nutrients. Somewhere about 200-300 PPM

day 4

Fertilized with 600 ppm nutes. Still using the grow blend instead of flowering blend cause still seeing rapid veg growth.

I've been pinching off any new branch growth from lower nodes.

Set up a fan in the closet that goes off and on with the timer. Provides some gentle air flow for the plants.

Also, these seeds I got from Highgrade seeds in case anyone is curious.

Day 7

Growth seemed to stall for a few days after I switched the light schedule. Seem to be growing more rapidly again. Had to raise the reflector by a chain link. I've been rotating and moving the plants around every few days as well.

Why are you keeping them so short?
I expect them to stretch for the initial 3 weeks of flowering.

Besides, with flowering under CFL, not sure vegging them for a long period and letting them get taller is worth the effort.
