125 watt CFL ?

Been getting things together for my first grow, DWC setup. I have a small closet, and plan on 4 plants in an 18 gal DWC. I'm leaning towards CFL for a few reasons, but heat, and the small difference in price, compared to say a 400 watt Hps/Mh.

I've read thru the CFL guides and FAQ's etc. My question is about the efficiency and effectiveness of a 125 watt 6500k CFL for veg and a 125 watt 2700k for flower. Is this enough light for the particular set up ? Or do I need to add more , maybe 2 of these ? The closest is only about twice the floor space of the 18 gal. tote, and 7 ft. high.

Thanks for the info, trying to make the best decision here.

60-80 watts minimum per plant will yield a decent harvest. smaller wattage bulbs allow you to put the where its needed easily. check out the grow in my sig.

im not an expert or anything but the rule ive been reading is 5000 or 6000 lumen per square feet or 50 watts per square feet, with cfl's make sure its not watt equivalent but the actual wattage
