125w cfl

just curious if a 125W (uses only 30w haha) CFL light is enough for 3 small plants (1-10days old) is enough it puts out 2000 lumens.... just curious about that all comments and help please =)

No its not enough, when cfls say 30w = 125w...just ignore it. 30w cfl is a 30w cfl and not near enough for your plants. You can use them but you will need about 4 more to have any real affect. And keep them within 3 inches of the light or they are useless. CFL's have only a little range despite having great lumen output....which is why eventually people go mh for veg and hps for flower. Cfls are great for small grows but you need alot of them. Also use 42w cfls and make sure they are in the 6500k range.

You need an actual 125w CFL to grow more than one plant.

And with the price of those, you're almost better off dropping the extra $40 and getting an HID lamp or a set of t5HO lamps.

okay lol thanks guys but the bulb i got now will be alright until i get the right shit... better then nothing? or should i just stick them in the windowsill for some sunlight?

Actually yes that would be WAY better then what you have. Use the cfl as backup when darkness falls.
