150w hps 6 plants?

Talk to me, how does that sound. I know it's not great but it's what I'm working with right now. One auto in flower under that came out amazing. I got 6 regs that are short and stout that I want to flip.

Not enough light. Unless you grow tiny plants in small pots and flip to 12/12 right away. I think maybe 2 at the most under a 150 with no additional lighting. Something will always suffer if you try to over do it.

Let me know how it goes though if you try it.

Not good. their in 3gal and I don't want them to get rootbount, but I have to keep veggin till I get my 1000 I guess

Got this auto under the 150 too

They look good. I just don't think they will yield well with so few watts. I gotta 150 and supplement with a LED that pulls about 109 watts. That would probably be "good enough" for say 4 autos LST trained low. Works great for 2 plants.

Yeah, looks/sounds like you need a BIG light for what you're trying to do.

i finished 3 lemon haze under a 150 hps and got just under a oz a plant buds was just has hard tho not as big or as much and lst to death

What about a couple or few t8's along with the hps? I know it's not the greatest but would it be better or at least decent? The auto under the 150 is gorgeous..but that's just one terminal plant. So idk

no lie i got upstairs a lemon skunk in a 6 litre bucket thing and its been in from start that was 13 weeks ago lol but as long as i water enough and nute enough its fine and in soil with no additives like perlite or out and im looking at about oz and half off that and its only about 3 foot untopped or trained in the corner of a 400 cooltube so dont worry to much about it becoming rootbound while you wait for 1000 watter is the point i making haha stoned rambling

IDK. I re read your OP and since they are regulars you might get 3 males. Like dude said, you can get away with 3 fems under a 150 but yield will most likely suffer. It's kinda like YA gotta match the whole system and desired results. more plants, more watts. More watts more fans for the heat. Etc.

I think in got 2 males. But still if yield is going to be poor with the 150 I'm not gonna do it. If you look at the pic I trained the shit out of them

They look good bro. No doubt. I'm mostly a 1 or 2 plant guy and have a 150 and it's great for that. But, I do supplement with 109 watts of LED. More is better, but a 400 or higher HID would just be overkill and wasting electricity for me. A 250 would prolly be good for 2 or 3 plants. Anyway, I'm surprised others didn't chime I. For you on this subject. A lot of HID guys on RIU

Definitely. I'm not gonna flip yet. I'll wait a little longer things should be getting a little more laxed. I agree 150 won't cut it. It did great for the auto I'm thinking a 300 wouldn't be optimal either. But 600 would be more than enough. I only have quick access to the 1k so I'm Gonna end up going with that. If rootbound becomes an issue I'll just transplant even though I don't want to because of the canopy height I'm trying to achieve.
