US government propaganda film made during WWII touting the virtues of hemp. The film was aimed at farmers at a time when the miltary was facing a shortage of hemp, it shows how hemp is grown and processed into rope and other products.

From IMDB: An informational film produced to encourage farmers to grow hemp for the war effort during WW2. The film details the many industrial uses of hemp, including cloth and cordage, as well as a detailed history of the plant's use.

Those propaganda films are a great snapshot of American politics at the time. They really did a job on the shaping the American psyche. I always find those Warner Bros. and Disney cartoons about WWII to be fascinating.

When big business can figure out how to make dollars off of marijuana and make it palatable to the majority of Americans then it will happen. Follow those American dollars...
