1k on light mover vs 2 stationary 600w

What should i expect a better yield from covering a 4x8 growing SOG style. A 1k on a mover or 2 stationary 600W lights.

Most likely. I would prefer two sixers. Better spread and more watts overall is a no brainer.
What I've heard is that using a light mover will increase efficiency by as much as 40%. So hypothetically it would be like running 1400 W on a mover

Never used a mover before and would rather not add the complexity to my lighting. However a single 1000 for a 4x8 will need a mover IMO.

I figured. Well, it will work for sure. Yeild difference would require a side by side so its anyone's guess.

ive tried this and was not close to 40% more like 10%-15% more but a little more A quality nugs. but the 2 sixes hands down blows it out the water. it will also have less moving parts for say the ducting to fall off the 2 sixes also have the middle overlap so the under leaves get better indirect light because it is from 2 lights overlap. 600s also have same g/kwh and less heat so you potentially get 1200 grams with the 2 600 watters versus 900-1050 grams with the 1000watter

I've used light movers in many ways for almost thirty years. They spread light, they don't create any. The only way they help is to spread out crazy hotspots.

If you're looking for a magic technique to get more growth from less watts, it already exists; COB LED. These can easily produce light at well over 50% efficiency, roughly twice what HID can manage.

Back to your 4x8' table; more light will get you better buds, up to a point. That point is between two and three thouies- and between four and five 600W lamps.

I've pulled almost four from a 7'x3.5' using 2 HPS thouies in Magnum XXXL 'Ocho' hoods.

I was planning on using two Air cooled double ended reflectors on to Solis tek matrix ballast. In the middle where they get cross lighting I'm going to put my cob fixture that I built for my last grow. I also plan on running CO2 in the room as well. All of the girls will be on a flood table and wI'll be flooded twice daily. Anybody have an idea on what kind of yields I can expect. I plan on vegging them to about 12 inches

I have 80 inches of height to work with. The Cobs definitely did their job. They saved my harvest from the shitty yield I would've gotten with the Mars lights

You may want to flood more often, that's a lot of light.

If the canopy fills in properly (however it's done with however many plants) and you do a good job with training and nutes, I'd say four is possible.

just because if height isnt a problem veg 18 inches for a 5 footers and will get a few nice pounds out of it
Dude, this is indoors. Most of the time that extra height ends up just being stalks stripped bare because the canopy is up higher.

ScrOG for spread and then there's no need to wait for the plant to get tall, and there's less pruning to do.

2-1000's over 4'x8', or rock two 600's over a 3'x6' tray.
I'll go with stationary lights all day long over light movers, and I use to rock light movers all the time a long time ago.
