Hey guys, a little history of what i'm growing is California orange cross with Mr nice 'shit' (from what i gather some old school strain which is good for beginners and has a high yield) half indica half sativa and has a 4 month cycle. Apparently cinnamon red or something is the name..

Anyway one is about 9 days old and the other one is about 2 weeks 2days and has afew slight problems.

Would love to hear comments and advice (i.e the sad looking older girl with the burnt leaf and yellowing) very first attempt at growing ever and i'm fucking excited :) Cheers:leaf:

Mainly the top layer i think. got a high grade organic pot ash mix with blood and bone and have a layer of worm compost for it to grow through, then i'll transfer it to a bigger pot or straight into the garden if i'm feeling gutsy :P thanks for the comment

Hey man,

Nice to see a new grower. Ok, I see a few issues. Are you giving it any nutes? I see the tips are kinda brown and fringed. What are you using for lighting? I would need to know whats up to diagnose that problem, but something is definatly wrong

I started a journal not long back. And other experience growers also usually stop bye. Your welcome to take a look, maybe you will learn something new. The link is in my sig. My journal is not in the journal forum, its in General Marijuana. Link is in sig thou

Could you explain nutes? lol. I have it under a 40w purple fluro light, but i was away for a week at a music festival and had a trusted person take care of it (the person is a relative but had little idea with plants)
So i came back to a sick little gal. I rotate it between indoors and outdoors with my main goal to transfer it under the sun but the weather has been pretty overcast lately. What i think happend is when i was away they left it outside in the cold with out sun for a while which made it turn yellow, and as for the burnt tips they may have had it touch the actualy bulb when it was indoors.
I'll def check out your grow too, thanks for the help mate:joint:

Hey,

Well 40Watts is not going to do it with 4 plants. You have a total of four right? Your either going to need to get some HID light, or put it outside. Not sure what part of the world you live in. I am in America, its winter here, and plants would not survive, especially where I am. I am in New England, East Coast of America.

Ok, Nutes is Nutrients.

On All of the fertilizer bottles there are 3 letters N P K Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P) and Potassium (K)

These are essential nutrients that your plant needs and uses during the growing stages.
Veg stage needs more N than P and K
Flower Stage needs more P and K than N

Some people have there own opinion on the exact numbers, but during veg you always want a fertilizer that has a higher N number than the P and K

For flower nutes, you want a fertilizer that has a higher P and K number. The N would be lower.

Example: Veg Stage, N20 P5 K5
Flower Stage, N5 P20 K 20

Thats just a example for ya.

Your welcome to stop bye my grow.

Do you know the lumens per square foot requirements, or do you plan on doing a outdoor grow?

Hey Kratose, Only have the 2 plants, the light seems to be running fine over those two. In another week or 2 i'll transfer the older girl outdoors and just have the little girl under it. I'm down in Australia and we have long days at the moment (still very light at 7:00pm where i am)

Slowly transferring it outdoors under the sun. Just want to establish her and the weathers overcast and cold at the moment.

As far as nutes i havn't added anything just yet but the soil is a really good organic mix full of nutes atm. They recon diluted piss is great for Nit and potassium. :weed: Thanks again, all great info man. I'll post pics tonight or tomorrow but the new growth looks real healthy. Thanks

Oh ok. Nice, I bet they grow very nicely in Australia. Yeah, Diluted Urin will do great for N. I know people who use it.

Your welcome to come buy my grow if you havent already.
