First grow ever. wanted to see how I did with some bag seed before moving up to the big boy seeds
using organic soil with 25% worm castings on a 19hr light cycle
Im 1 month into it with one and about 2 weeks with my other 2 and things seem to be going good, Im maintaining 78-81 room temp with humidity around 40%. I started with just a normal 2 ft fluorescent grow lights, after about 2 weeks I got a reflector with 2 vitalume T5 6500k lights.

Kinda experimenting with the 2 younger ones, my space is limited so I got a 5 gallon pot and split it down the middle with a piece of plastic. One I left in its starter cup but I cut the bottom off. I read it helps keep it short and bushy... Doesnt seem to help any so far lol

Gave my big lady her first nutes at right around 25 days and saw a little burn so I gave her straight water last 2 times.

showing sex before switching to a 12/12
next node above this on has a hair growing out of it with no bump

This was taken yesterday and since then the "bump" has elongated a bit with a protrusion on the tip
Im 95% sure its female.
I got partial verification from someone else already

A lot of the other nodes are showing signs of sex as well :-P

Switching to 12/12 My big lady is 13 inches tall so her time has come. I put some soft white 150w cfl around the base. I read somewhere that you should change the light from 6500k to more around 1200k for flowering I separated my other 2 ladies with a big wardrobe box from u-haul with a door cut in it for access. I taped every corner extra good and rigged lights and vents, then put a thick blanket over just to be sure no light could get out

Ive noticed that one of my last sets of leaves has different amounts of fingers from the one across from it. One has 9 and the one on the same level has 7. I have also noticed several of them have even numbers. 6 and 8 fingers How does something like this happen and is it a problem?

things are looking great, I went to my local garden supply store to get some different bulbs for my T5 reflector and ended up walking out with a new 400w hps set up LOL Thats the last time I go in there on payday with a pocket full of cash... But the owner of the place was there and he sold me a damn good set up for about 250$. Seemed like everything that he was giving me was half off, so I couldnt pass it up.
my little ladies got there own closet. the box just wasnt cutting it for me Now I just have to convince my lady this was a good investment lol

Is this a budding sight or more foliage?

little bit of a heat issue with the hps I just got today, I managed to rig a bathroom ceiling fan that I had laying around up to my reflector and it seems to help out a lot. At first my temp was around 89 degrees but I have it down to 82..
Still hotter then I would like but it will do

It's hard to tell from that pic try to get more light on it so we can see a little more clearly. Glad to see you got that 400w.

so I am having a little bit of problems with the temp in my room now. I kept everything at 78 degrees with my t5/ 2 ft fluorescents. but now that I have the hps I cant seem to get the room below 82-85 when the lights are on.

Do you guys think this will mess with her flowering?

there is a better picture of that foliage or whatever and a couple others

It probably wont hurt it as long as you don't go over 85; however, it's definitely not optimal. is there anyway you can exhaust some of the air out of your room? Just having a small amount of air flowing through at all times will drop your temp 5 to 10 degrees.

Still hard to say about that new growth, it could just be a new branch come out which will eventually be a bud site but at the same time it could be some preflower; still hard to tell from the pic.

I went out and got some more fans, just until I can get something better for the light. It dropped by about 3 degrees in there. Im trying to keep the cat and dog outta there so I cant leave the door open but Ill figure something out

yeah looks like a girl in that second pic! is that first pic the same plant or another plant? it kind of looks like pollen sacks but it could just be some preflower for a female.
