1st grow, Diesel Ryder 150 HPS closet grow

Doing my first grow with a 150watt HPS system hanging from my closet ceiling. I have my Diesel Ryder seeds planted into Fox Farm "happy frog" soil and these babes have just sprouted and are about a week old. And i must say I'm overly excited about this any comments or helpful hints you may have feel free to shout em out!. thanks pictures coming soon

Here's the (hopefully) girls at 3 weeks. You guys think i should put them into bigger pots or is it cool that i wait a little longer? any comments are helpful check it out!

Yo AJ, it is just my opinion but you may have the light a bit too far away...they seem to be stretched before the first node started. Mine are a few days behind and they are maybe 5-6 inches high and forming side clusters...a lot more bush looking. They look nice and green other than that, usually a good sign of any problem will start at the leaf color. Also I noticed you said you had those under a 150w hps? One of your pics I counted 7 sprouts? If the 62/38% Female/Male ratio is with you, you are looking at 3-4 females? Seems a bit much under a 150. Again just my opinion, good luck.

when abouts do you think i should move to a bigger pot? or at all...?

what size pots do you have them in?im growing deiselryders under 150 hps and i keep them in 2 gallon pots,use only 1/8 nutes at first,then go to 1/4 during flower,keep the light at 18/6and i would move the light about 12 inches from the tops ,well best of luck on your grow,oh yeah, with only using a 150 you really need to have some mylar in there to maximize your light

im really paranoid about using nutes because i dont want to run into a major ph problems. anyone have any tips?

you dont have to use nutes,just give them worm casting or something else organic.so what size pots do you have them in?

i really don't know exactly the size (id have to go back to the grow shop and check) but I'm guessing between 1.5 gallons to 2 gallons

those are big anough for lowrydrs,i would keep them in those pots.

Found two males today, but also found two females =) the other three haven't showed sex yet. Crossing my fingers though.

Greetings again, and congrats on the 2 females! I usually do not start using ferts soon after they show either male / female. I use Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil and only use Tiger Bloom fert. I usually start at about 1/4 strength, and go up by 1/4 every week until the max strength, or week 7. Then flushing weeks 8 and 9. Hope this helps.

I also use 1 Tbsp of organic sulphur free molasses per gallon of water once a week after they show sex. I swear by it and am sure if you look around other's use it as well. Use it just like the fert's schedule, stopping on week 7/8.

will the molasses create ph fluctuation? just wondering =)
