Whats up there fellow growers and tokers. Well, its been a real long time since I have grown, and I only did it one time at that. But it was a closet hydro grow, in an Emilys Garden (mini DWC). I did great vegging and flowering them, but knew nothing of when they were ready, or curing, so the end result was nothing to brag about. The plants also grew to about 8 feet tall in my closet, because I did not know about controlling them. Then I stopped because my son was getting to the school age, so I felt it was wise to put it on hold. He is grown now and I am back. I am only doing a small grow. Was intended to be 3 plants, but one didnt make it after germinating. So I have 1 White Widow, and 1 Northern Lights.
After months of reading and asking questions, and studying, and purchasing stuff, my frow began 21 days ago. Well a few days before that, but today is 21 days since my germinated seeds went into rockwool, and into the grow tent. My setup is:
- Secret Jardin DR80 Grow Tent (2.8 x 2.8 x 5.3)
- 400w Hydrofarm non cooled HPS (bought it 16 years ago, but I did replace the bulb before the grow began)
- 18 Gallon Rubbermaid Roughneck res (Started with 12 gallons when the seedlings went in, just to the bottom of the netpots, now its holding 10 gallons as the root mass is down in the res). 3 holes cut in for plants and one square cut in the top for easy adding of water. Bottling spigot installed in the bottom of the res for easy drainage. 30 gal air pump with 2 12 airstones.
- 265 cfm squirrel cage fan for exhaust. A high velocity mini floor flan as an intake, and an oscillating fan inside.
- Carbon scrubber to be added.
- Running the Lucas Formula with GH Flora nutes. Also using the addback with nutes formula and not doing any flushes for the entire grow, as long as everything stays on point.
Thats about it I guess. Sorry for the lack of pics of the setup. Where the tent sits in the closet, I can not get back far enough to get good pics of the whole thing.
My temps with the light on are ranging from 76 80 depending on the weather. The room the closet is in is air conditioned. The humidity has ranged between 40 60% again depending on the weather. I have a humidifier I use to help on dry days. Have not needed to dehumidify.
