Cheers buddy, i think ive learnt alot from this grow. As soon as shes out of the way im gunna pop another bean under the lights and change things abit, see what happens.

Just looked at her and i see quite a few amber trichomes now im debating whether to chop today or to wait till next week just in case its too early...

if there aren't any clear, chop on dude. Now I need you help, How long has it been from when you saw the first pistils?

I think i just might and the first day i saw pistils was 22nd may(52 days ago) why?

Just would estimate about when i need to harvest

As I am a week later so it could be anywhere from 20-30th, probably 22nd, if it looks good then. Can't wait.

Awesome, im gunna wait till next week before i chop i think. Have you heard of turning off lights for like 48hrs before harvest? do you think this actually increases resin production or any other benefits?

I don't think anyone has proved it but a long darkness period will for sure stress a plant, and stress should make the plant do it's best the few last days. Tho i don't think it would really be noticeable amount, like what 0,3% of thc? that's like a good grown hemp DD
IF that would be done in the start of flowering it would drop bananas, and i think there woukld be a chance it does that if the darkness is in the end too that way it spends its energy for bananas and not squeezing the last bit of thc. So..... All this was pretty much philosophical bullshit, long story short I think it's something not worth it even if it works. What do you think?

Edit: read this gets rid of some chlorophile too, so they won't be as harsh as if harvested normally.

I can understand the concept of stressing it could result in higher resin production, but it does seem a little too good to be true. Ive seen alot of people say that i got their buds frosty as fuck but with no other samples to test it..And alot of people say otherwise so...
Im thinking on my next grow im gunna do 2-3 plants of the same strain and just do various tests on 1-2 of the plants to see if its an improvement or not.

Hey man interesting thread i did my first full grow last year and had alot of similar problems you did the best way i found for resin production was molasses and my homemade liquid seaweed extract i have 4 girls growing outside now and thats all i used, never used any nutrients just letting the microbes in the soil feed my plant for me!!
im subbed im no pro but i learned alot on here and studying from everywhere so if i can help im glad too check out my pics in the links below my post!!

see page 26 for almost ready to crop pics turned out to be a nice plant was a steath grow was 2 feet tall at finish!!

yes man check it out i have lots of info on seaweed in my other link i have used it religiously this summer already and its working great its the hormones and beneficial bacteria in it that is my interest plus the other 60 micronutrients that it has and the molasses feeds the microbes (beneficial bacteria) in the soil...

If i let her go for a few more days do you think the buds will get bigger? I really wanna cut now but if the buds will swell a bit more i can wait...

At day 72 ive cut her down and trimmed her up

Theres alot more bud than i initially thought Ill add some more pictures soon. The buds are now hung up in a cardboard box to dry. Ill add wet weight later on tonight also.

Note: I will need to manicure it soon aswell as the scissors i had have massive blades making close trimming really hard.

Heres the trim:

The bottom bag is full of leaves with very little or no trichomes.
Top left is the leaves that looked frosty as fuck! And the bag on the top right is all the Miniature buds that were too small to hang .

Popcorn buds Ill have a smoke of these tonight i think

Just weighed it all: 60g wet weight im estimating around 75% weight loss so that leaves about 15g
